Seems to me there's one sort of stress or the other all along this process.. wonder when it will all come to an end? I would say after the wedding, but nooo - got the lovely AOS road ahead of us for that. At least us immigration folks aren't bored, eh? Well, perhaps eating is Dave's way of dealing with stress.. he might just sit there eat 24/7, could explain why you always catch him eating :D

Visa in hand!

It's kinda like this.....

Bride marries arriving groom at Texas airport December 23rd, 2009 @ 6:02am

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) - A woman in a wedding gown surprised her fiance by greeting him at a Texas airport along with a justice of the peace.

Robyn Moore and William Acosta exchanged vows Monday at Corpus Christi International Airport after he got off a plane arriving from Toledo, Ohio.

Photos were taken near a Christmas tree at a security checkpoint.

Acosta, who was wearing jeans and a sweater, says he was speechless and thrilled by the wedding Moore planned.

Moore says she and Acosta "spent half our relationship in airports."

The couple got a marriage license last week and planned to tie the knot this month, at a site to be determined.

Moore and Acosta met in 2008 in Dallas, where she lived and he was on a business trip. They plan to live in Toledo.

Your interview is MONDAY!!!! Wow that was quick ... the last time we pm'd you had just send out your package to him. How very very exciting!

My fiance is having a little difficulty finding the vaccines he needs. He is down to the last one and is going next Monday to the capital to get it.

I am hoping the package I sent him last week is received in the mean time and if so he will call the consulate to schedule the interview.......

It seems like its taking forever to get the things together for packet 3 .... anyone else feel this way???

Good Luck to all with upcoming interviews and Happy Holidays!!!

Malarie

I'm cautiously optimistic bc our interview is monday :wacko::blink: At the same time i'm completely and utterly petrified! pretty much how I have felt since July 15!

Dear Madam,

Thank you for your e-mail. The consular officer has requested Mr. Kach to provide a translation of his birth certificate. He may submit the required document Monday through Thursday between 1:30 and 3:00 pm at the U.S. Consulate General in Casablanca.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

He went to get a new translation bc the one he had was done wrong.. Do they usually take forever to look at those papers? Dont get me wrong.. I know I sound really impatient and I am, and I am sooo grateful to be this far, I just dont want to wait and wait for nothing and them have lost it... What do you guys think?

They didn't require vaccines for mine. Which I thought was a bit odd. Mine didn't even have vaccine records. Embassy told him vaccines not a requirement for k1 visa ...(he will probably have to get them for AOS) ...but still! I wonder if every embassy has their own rules when it comes to vaccines.

It took mine about 3 days to get the official translation by a government certified notary type for all his documents that needed it (police record, civil, birth etc).

Aww Zahid, I am so happy for you! I thought I had a long journey ahead of me on the 28th (24 hours altogether) but 30 hours! Wow - that's all I can say.. but yes, so worth it when you can be with your sweetheart afterwards! I hope you'll have a smooth POE and a comfortable flight, even thought it's a long one :) Keep us posted as soon as you feel up to it, you know we'd love to hear all about your POE, first days with your girl etc :D

Ohhhh and Marie! I can't believe you skipped AP, that's excellent news! Even though you waited for the NOA2 for so long, it seems as if everything after that has been more speedy - and good for you! It's no fun being without our guys! Soon you'll be with him, january is right around the corner (L)

And as for myself, I am finally starting to get a bit nervous about the flight over to the US. I am not the biggest fan of being on an airplane, but I am trying to be a good sport about it. It's all worth it once I'm with him :)

Yeah will update as soon as i reach home with my sweetheart. I am so tempted to open the yellow envolope and see what is inside but "DO NOT OPEN" is written in Bold letters on top of the envolope.

You know what he told me? He went to pick up all the docs and the "do not open" envelope ..and he told me "but i opened it" After 5 minutes of screaming at him ...he starts laughing ...

good to know he has a sense of humor.

Zahid .....goodluck!!!! can't wait to hear stories about your arrival :) :) :)
