Interestingly, there were many warm words expressed about Sotomayor at her confirmation hearings by Republicans on the Judiciary Committee - particularly Lindsay Graham who is expected may vote in favor.

Not all of the right wing in America is as acerbic and caustic as the talking heads who regularly appear on the news circuit.

It would be interesting to know what WARM Words Barack had to say about the last two nominees put up by Bush?

We know he did not vote to affirm them.

I'm not sure what words Obama had on record regarding the Roberts and Alito hearings. He was not on the Judiciary committee so of course he didn't have the chance to pontificate at that stage, only to vote when it came to the floor. And you are correct - he did vote Nay.

And I actually think it was disappointing that those votes (particularly Roberts) came down to narrow partisan majorities. The tradition has been for a President to nominate a candidate of his choosing (usually in keeping with his political temperament), and for the Senate to overwhelmingly vote to confirm following hearings that establish the basic judicial competence of the candidate. In other words, it was entirely appropriate for Bush to appoint Roberts, who is a fine legal scholar. It's just as fine for Obama to appoint Sotomayor. Both deserve broad support in the Senate, and it's disappointing that the collegial body of Congress has become so partisan. Shame on both parties for this hackery. And credit to Senator Graham for making this very point repeatedly.

Wow, someone actually watches MSNBC? who'd thunk it? This network thrives on negativity. Reality based shows over and over about prisons, the worn-out pedophile series, and other misery inducing,. white men are evil, #######. Oh, and lets not forget Chris Matthews who probably pleasures himself looking at Obama YES WE CAN posters. He lost his man card the day he said "I get a tingle up my leg when Obama Speaks"

Comments : She recived the first notice from Manila on Valentines day. Perfect timing.

The first setback came during the medical. Naty had to do the 3 day sputum and then we waited 2 months for the results. YESSSS>came back negative

Went for her interview on July 16th and received her Pink Slip......Finally. Paid the AIR21 and I expect her here August 10th, 2009. Marriage will be August 21st, exactly 4 years to the day that we first met.
