Who cares if someone goes against the grain? If they back up their point with reasons, then I think it should be considered a valid POV, even if I don't agree :D

But mostly they don't. They just keep blabbering on about obvious nonsense for which they have no back-up whatsoever. Nor do they offer any no matter how often one asks for it. Not their fault, you say, because evidence of their frivolous claims simply doesn't exist? Great, then it would be time to concede that one was wrong.

I don't agree...I see many valid points on both sides get lost in the fray of 'you moronic so and so' bs because it's such a game of tug of war between 'I'm right' and 'You're wrong'. Like I said, perhaps I am mellowing, but it really just gets tiring to see.

I do when they miss the point of the issue(which was what I was saying, my point) and try to focus on some small insignificant part of it just so they can go against the grain as you just did. Seems so childish to me.

I believe you've misunderstood my response.

Valid points can be substantiated. Go back, if you would, through the POTUS citizenship thread that was closed this morning, and point out to me which valid point of those claiming that Obama lacks proper US citizenship I have missed. Please, point that out to me.

LOL, I'm a changed woman, G...no more pent up angst, so no need to tear any new a$$holes anymore ;)

But that response of his/hers is a perfect example of how something can escalate from a rational discussion to a pissing contest. But, I'm not gonna bite, as you already saw ;)
