Doesn't anyone like to dance in America??

Wife managed to make many American friends since coming here, vast majority of them are from Latin America with USC husbands, ha, making new friends too.

In our last get together, the women brought up the subject that nobody likes to dance in America, Could be a good point, not easy to find a public place to dance around here either, not like the older days when ballroom dancing was popular. But always trying to come up with a counterpoint, in my visits to both Colombia and Venezuela, where are people dancing there? Can vividly recall waiting in long lines at food stores and banks, nobody was dancing there, more like they were braindead taking one short step at a time.

Anyway, that is another challenge I am faced with, finding a public place where people like to dance. Reaching deep into my single brain cell that is left, only thing that comes to mind is going to a good old fashion wedding. And not some of those protestant weddings we attended with no alcohol, no dancing, just bowing our heads in prayer kind of thing.

We do have a couple of bars in town with some dancing, but more likely to get into a bar fight than have a good time. Or some guy trying to grab at my wife's butt. Worse yet is meeting some guy trying to grab at my butt. Restrooms aren't that clean either.

What a challenge I am faced with, anyone else with this problem? LOL, could dance at home, but prefer the horizontal rather than the vertical method.

Also, if it's Latin dancing you're after, sometimes little unassuming restaurants turn into wild discos as the night wears on... You can't tell by lookin' at them... Ask around?

so you just wanna go listen to the music? no problem. i always brought my own women when we went dancing. picking up stuff on the floor is just too hazardous. every one of them enjoyed the experience, especially the uptight ones who had never been in "dangerous places". those i usually took to clubs that changed from white bread to ethnic at 10PM.
