What probelms did you have to deal with? What would you do differernt if you had the chance to start the whole K3/CR1 process all over again?

I think the biggest mistake most people make while filing for any kind of visa is not doing enough research. Not reading enough, not looking for answers, not getting everything ready beforehand. That's why VJ is such a wonderful place to start before anything is filed.

Not believing you can do it yourself.

Have to tell you...if we had found VJ before hiring those U.S. immigration attorneys we dealt with (who subsequently disappointed the hell out of us for stringing us along), we would have saved ourselves a lot of grief and the hard-earned $$$ we paid them.

however, i kinda always believed whatever I was told.

What i would do differently is track my package night and day.

talk to various people regarding the same thing to make sure i got the right info.

cast a curse on these immigration people for sleepless nights

That being said, it's such a blessing to have VJ members on board who went through the process and have a lot of stuff to share to all the new VJ members!

Since me & hubby are still in this visa journey marathon, .. if I had to do it all over again, I think we might have done the K1, got married here & just re-new our vows in Jamaica.. but everything happends for a reason

not having certified copies to send was our biggest problem, (most of our papers were stolen in a robbery) so we could only send the originals we had left, and wait for some replacements it slowed us way down...

biggest problem, that there's no mail between cuba and the US. problem we are dealing with now, waiting for the interview to be scheduled , feeling at the mercy of the powers that be.

Do differently? do the fiancee visa and get married here in US , apparently much faster and I know much less expensive!!

We didn't have any problems with forms or documentation or anything like that.

I just would've never filed the I-129f and stuck with the solitary I-130. My husband would probably be here already if we hadn't tried for the K-3. Funny that the visa meant to save us time cost us many months.
