I haven't received anything in the mail yet either. I was able to look at a copy of my check that my bank has online and found a number that began with WAC - although they can start with different letters. I entered that number into the USCIS website and saw this:

On July 20, 2009, we received this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you.

Something else I have learned, my bank sucks (credit union)! All this talk about seeing checks online. I don't have that option I have found. I COULD if I wanted to, request a COPY to be SNAIL mailed to me, and that will cost $14 and take 10-14 business days. Well, I would hope I would have my NOA1 by then anyway. I guess I just have to wait on the snail mail to see when my NOA1 date, and start looking around for a new bank.

I'm not sure this is a good reason to change bank.

You'll get your NOA1 in the mail tomorrow, don't worry. :)

I decided I'd just ignore that. :)

It seems there are not many of them though. Well there's not so many of us neither...

Lucky you, I can see you have lots of plans for the next months, that should keep you busy while waiting.

My monkey will visit again in October or November to visit my family, but I won't go back to the US before I get my visa approved.

We spent way too much on plane ticket this last year, now it's time to save up. Though I shouldn't complain plane tickets have been so cheap lately.

Sigh, I came back from Delaware only 2 weeks ago and I already want to go back NOOOWWW!

Wanted to keep some action on our thread so that we move back to page 1 again. :star:

I do feel very fortunate that I am going to England in 33 days (countdown has begun). Skype has also been a big help. Great to see my honey on a weekly basis.

So, how did everyone meet their fiance's? I noticed some people do have their stories but others do not.

We met around Nov 1st last year at a pub in Dallas. Paul was visiting a friend and we randomly started talking. Then after many months, he came to visit in June and we had a great time. A couple of my friends kind of questioned the whole thing but I shared that I feel like he and I got to know each other considerably more than when you "normal" date someone. From my experience, a lot of dating becomes lets go here or here but not very much real communication. Anyway, one of my friends (questioning one) shared with me the other day she met someone where she lives and within 30 days they are talking about getting married so now she is whistling  a different tune. Meaning love comes many different ways and you just need to embrace it.

Have a great day everyone. Looking forward to spending the next 4/5+ months will all of you. Victoria

I don't think how we met really matters. Translation : no real romantic meeting here.

I met my fiancé about 3 years ago and our first two years were something like rollercoster.

"Oh noe, our story is impossible!"

Once we decided to get engaged and file for the K1 visa, we both felt secured and our relationship changed a lot.

I cherish this time a lot more than what happened before.

I tried to get prepared for the "questioning people", but oddly nobody in our friend circle ever did...

I haven't told my mother yet. :x

That will be a big time, I plan on telling her after she got a chance to meet him not before.

I don't want her imagination to torture her (and me) for months, it's useless.

Victoria, I'm afraid we'll spend much more than 5 or 6 months together.

We'll probably be "connected" for the next 2 years. :)

So will it be your first time in England? :D

Good luck with your mom. Makes total sense holding back from telling her until she gets to meet him. Craigy (Paul) met my family and won my sister over. Not an easy thing to do.

You are right, 2 years we will all be together. That is really neat. I wonder if people ever get together to meet up.

This will actually be my second time to England. The first was about 10 years ago but was only in London - did the whole western Europe in a month thing including Paris. I am super excited to go to where Craigy lives (north of Manchester). It looks beautiful and can't wait to meet his family. My sister, friend and I have been communicating with his sister. She is fabulous.

How many times have you been to Delaware? Any other places in the US? I think it is so cute you call him monkey.

Have a great day everyone. One more day down.
