Congrats to all of you!

After much soul-searching & after many years of doing the 'I hope I'm not pregnant' dance....I have finally decided that I'm ready to have a baby!

David's been ready for a while...so now it's just a matter of getting him here for the conception...ha!

Well, we're approaching half-time. Can't believe how fast that first 4+ months went by.

About another 3 weeks and we'll have the ultra-sound to find out whether we'll have a little boy or girl. Well, all that fancy technology aside, I have a feeling it'll be a baby girl. I kinda knew that from the very first moment. Or maybe that's just what I hope for.

Either way, Nani has gained well over 10lbs so far and there's no longer any doubt or denying that we're expecting a baby. It really shows now. And we're so excited! :D

The vitamins are not generally covered. BTW, you don't have to take "prenatal" vitamins, regular Centrum etc would work.

Our insurance covers pre-natal vitamins. A lot of good that did us. Here we sit with a three month supply (that we paid $20.00 co-pay for) that Nani can't use because the freaken presription vitamins made her so damn sick. We tried a couple other samples from the doc but they were all aweful. Nani's been taking the Kroger store brand pre-natal vitamins ever since we quit experimenting with prescription stuff. Doc says it doesn't matter which ones as long as she gets at least 400mg folic acid daily. The Kroger vitamins come at about $10.00 for 150 daily doses. I actually got them Buy One Get One Free - so it came to $10.00 for 300 days worth of pre-natal vitamins. Forget insurance on pre-natal vitamins...

I think I'm having a boy too, but we're not going to find out until the baby's born...I like surprises!! Has any one every heard of the Chinese Gender Prediction.

Here's the link if you're interested. One goes more by your lunar age...it helps you calculate it...supposed to be more accurate, and the other goes by your regular age.

I still think I'm having a boy though. m_and_m20, my mother could always tell by looking at someone what they were having (She had 10 pregnancies, 8 kids), something about carrying low and tidy for a boy I think. Not sure, but she was right every time...go figure!!

Congrats on all the newbie pregnant out there :luv:
