When not really paying attention we both refer to the other as "Schatzi" which is literally 'treasure' but means the equivalent of 'sweety.' When being disgustingly obnoxious we use "Schnukiputzileinchen" mostly because it's super fun to say.

Generally he calls me "Woman" or "Wife" but jokingly, not in a jerky way.

Wow....that's a mouthful. :o

Ah...she does call me Dad in front of the kids, which took me awhile to get used to. Now I sometimes call her Mom.

I call him hubby most of the time or babe. He calls me honey, babe, babycakes, wifey, sweety pie.

Lots of people here in brazil call their parters vida (as in amor da minha vida -love of my life) or sonho (dream). While its super super lovey and gross, I kinda like it. But I refuse to use that here since its so common. Maybe when we get to the US Ill call him that since no one will really know what were talking about...and if they do, it wont be common.

vida and sonho is so ghey. lol. i'd never call someone that. i call my baby amor da minha vida, but that's different.

Of course the "amor" dissolves into a cold "LAURA" or "LUIS PABLO" if one of us is upset.

OMG!!! That is so us. We're always like corazon, mi cielo, mi vida (heart, my sky, my life) whatever. But, God forbid we're upset with eachother then it is Stacie or Gustavo - at that point hell has frozen over.

We're stuck with calling each other baby, which is embarrassing when talking to each other on the phone or in front of others. We need a new nickname and it can't be 'honey' because she knows that's what I used to call my ex-gf.

Hi, I'm just wondering is your partner still in the philippines? We used to call each other baby while we were chatting online but we quit after we met in person and now it changed to goofy after we live together. But we both think it's a cute name for us since we both goofy!

jena

Hi Jena. She's been here in the states now for over 2 years. :) Her mom calls her dad, 'ga' ...short for langa. I think I could get used to that. We just need to break out of the habit of using 'baby'.

'Ga' sounds cute. Most bisayan use it and I like the way it sounds. Langga means "Love". My Dad calls my Mom 'Ling' short for darling and I think it's so cute also.

Nice meeting you guys.

If my husband calls me 'Jena' then I know I'm in trouble but I don't really use to call him by his name. If I'm upset I just don't wanna talk to him. I"m just hoping he doesn't call me b**** cause that wasn't on my list  but I know he would never do that. We don't really fight with each other. Sweeeet.. (L):)
