We didn't send photos at all with our AOS, silly or otherwise..

we did not send any photos and as per my experience, its not at all required.

Some AOS applicants are concerned with proving a "bonifide relationship", so they send loving fotos in with all the other paperwork. Why not, a pic is worth a 1000 words.

Because you don't have to prove bona fide relationship in the paperwork. That's what the interview (if any) is for. No photos accompanied my AOS application. For one, it doesn't ask for proof of relationship stuff and for two, I wouldn't want anything to 'get in the adjudicator's way'.

We had a cool photo lined up for interview though (never needed it). It was taken valentines day this year.... at the Bodies exhibition in Atlanta . Whoever said couples had to go on romantic valentines dates?

Don't think it matters, what they don't want is to see naked pictures or proof that his private parts go into her private parts.

...dunno why though, isn't that what married couples do?

For the first 3 months if the wife is the USC.

Dang. I thought that is what couples do BEFORE they get married. I assumed at the wedding when he said " I do" I said " not anymore".

We did not send pictures with the AOS application, and the officer had his mind set up on our file before we went in. Had about 300 lined up for interview, silly or serious, or formal or casual, and the officer (a statistic geek - he told us so) skipped a laugh at silly pictures of us petting the bronze dog of President Roosevelt at the memorial in DC, or standing in line at the soup kitchen at the same memorial, or perspective showing how tall the Washington memorial is. Hubby thought initially that we somehow were demeaning the significance of the monuments, but the officer found it to be funny.

So, "silly" pictures in a roller coaster must be really funny, I would send those (though not required at AOS stage, as other said before me). They should just make a note on the back of photos showing when/where were the pictures taken and who are those appearing in the photos, if others than the applicant and her hubby.

We didn't either. Only brought them for interview.

Us either. We took our wedding album to the interview. Guy barely looked at them.

Out of all the pictures we took to the interview, the IO only wanted to see a picture of me with my wife's parents and picture of my wife with my parents.

It probably depends upon the IO.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

Why did I think this was a Monty Python thread?

Whenever we do something fun together or get together with family, we take pictures, and many are silly. We're not going to pose and get all formal and look like we don't even know each other. I don't think that would look genuine in our case, though I've seen some formal, posed wedding pictures in the VJ gallery that fairly scream "bone fide relationship."

The CO at my husband's K-1 interview liked our candid photos together and with hubby's family, including the combination New Year's Eve/Eid/niece's birthday ones where we were all goofing around with noisemakers and so on. But I can't for the life of me remember whether we submitted any for AOS; possibly not. We didn't have an interview.

Now seriously, when I did my K1 interview the pics my CO mostly looked at were the ones showing us with my and his family and friends, so it doesn't matter if they're silly or not, what they want to see is that you two are "for real".

I think I only sent 2 pictures on our AOS, of our marriage.

I remember at our K-1 interview we got a chuckle from the CO while he was looking at pictures. I think he was looking at the first picture taken with his family and dad's head was cut off. (This motivated me to get a digital camera.) I still included the photo for evidence - even if the 12 yo photographer was still in training.
