never trust a redhead

Not true, my wife is a redhead, best thing that ever happened to me.

After my one and only divorce, just commented, if they read the divorce laws during the marriage ceremony, no one would get married. I was so bitter after my divorce and the way I was creamed, didn't even look at another woman for eight years, but was one of the very few males in my state to get full physical custody of my kids.

When reflecting on my first marriage, even though I am considered a genius in my profession, realized my marriage IQ was less than two, realized I had raise that to at least a three. Also, in buying components, the world was the limit, so why was I isolating a search locally for the most important thing? Also my son brought home this very wonderful girl that is now my daughter-in-law, not all women are bad. But my wife found me and without even meeting her, was something that I cannot explain that was extra special about her. We became extremely dependent on each other over a nine month period before we finally met. That was the strangest and most wonderful day of my life, she says the same. Even commented to her, if she gets tired of me and wants to leave, the only thing I would do is to thank her for the most wonderful six years of my life. Never an argument, and we can read each others minds, she is my missing half. Was completely different to develop an extremely strong platonic relationship before a physical one.

Always an obstacle, in our case, the USCIS that is the reason why I am here, but that is now history for us, like five years of that stuff.

I can't explain that magic in meeting the right person, but my first wife sure didn't meet that criteria, a life of fighting like cats and dogs. Never think you are going to change a person or that Holy Spirit will come down and fix stuff, and if you even have one small doubt, keep on looking. That way, you won't have to worry about a divorce. You can't believe the low down positively miserable people that crawl out of the woodwork to take full advantage of your misfortune and make a damn good living at it.

If there is a heaven, would like to get a license to shoot and torture people that screwed me with my divorce. Never knew that people like this even existed in this country.

Getting married right out of university can be a very bad idea, and even two lawyers can need lawyers to get divorced (and then end up cursing lawyers as a breed and consequently feeling all sorts of existential angst).

I'm one of the lucky ones -- my ex and I had a very amicable divorce and have stayed good friends, though I think the fact that an ocean and a continent divide us also helps.

I got married while still technically in university (I was about 2 months shy of my MSc thesis defense).

Is that why the marriage failed? I don't think so. The marriage lasted 17 years, so there were clearly many good times there, and 3 wonderful kids, so I can't regret it all.

It did end miserably though and to say relations with the ex are 'strained' would be a severe understatement :(

Of course I'm hoping I'm wiser and more patient the second time around. To get remarried you have to have a certain amount of indefatigable optimism and belief in humanity :star:
