I'm watching Barak Obama on TV being recieved in Saudi Arabia right now. He will be speaking at Cairo University tomorrow in Giza where he will address the Arab world. I'm at the clinic where Waleed will work. He's in a conference right now with the other Doctors about his job. Some of these Doctors I knew from before when I was here in 2006. The clinic was just one small place under the Doctors office before and now they've expanded to a large office with three Doctors a Nurse and two foreign workers from Poland to help with communication with the tourists. The clinic which is set up in the villa and has a nice garden outside is two stories and very nice. There are many villa's located around it as well.

We have yet to go to the Red Sea though we live two blocks away. The reason for this is because the hotels have monopolized the beach so it is not open to the public like it is in the US. I will find a way to get to the beach and find a running route even if I have to talk to the managament myself. Our apartment is one bedroom but the place is huge and it was filthy when we got it. I have to clean it room by room. Aparently when someone moves they don't clean things like we do moving in and out. Our apartment is in a nice location as well just a block from the main Hurghada strip with three internet cafes around. Though Waleed being the Egyptian that he is refuses to pay for internet instead opting to find the cheapest easiest way to connect. Untill then I am connecting from the medical clinic and take the micro-bus here.

We just got here yesterday and have been adjusting. I am still dealing with my sickness and finding things I can tolerate. We will start the medicine for the next two weeks that cleans my guts out from whatever it is making me sick but the medicine itself makes me sick. It will all be ok.

Hey Olivia, glad to see that you made it to Hurghada okay. I was wondering about you this morning and hoping everything was okay.

Sorry your medicine sucks, insha'Allah it will help make you all better.

We may get to Hurghada at some point, though I'm not sure I want to visit the city so much as I'd like to go to the sea. But... ya know... away from the half dressed European women there. lol

Anyways, I really hope things start to turn around for you!

Happy Wednesday MENA!! :star:

It's a hot one here in Cairo. At least 100 degrees. Thank God for wind.

Looking forward to Obama's speech tomorrow, though I'm sure the inconvenience is irritating quite a few people. lol

Traffic routes have been changed and many things are changed around for the visit.

Living with hubby in Egypt, at last.
