Morning Peeps

Tasha... (F)

I am dealing with my own set of issues right now. Could be my husband would be returning home soon if things don't straighten out. :(

I think the fact that we can't afford for him to fly there and back has kept him here thus far but we had planned to return in a year from now. He would have been away from home 1 1/2 years. I can't imagine the desire for him to return to the life that he left.

Melly, where did hubby go?

Morning Jackie.

I have some pix on facebook guys. I have always had a heck of a time posting here.

If you would like to see some of few pix of Maroc I posted, I will add you as my friend. Ok

Jess..is your countdown coming back to the states? I like the new picture of the babe.

Tasha, I'm really sorry to hear that things are not going too well. If my hubby suggested going away for two months I'd be beside myself.

Makes me feel bad for complaining that mine is gone for just ten days.

Feel free to pm me if you ever want to talk. (F) I'm usually on when everyone else is asleep because of the time difference.

Sandrila, my hubby went to Kuwait on business for about ten days. I'm staying with the in-laws, who are great, but it's still a bit awkward.

Jackie, good to see you posting. How are you doing? :star:

Anyone hear how Nawal's party went?

Living with hubby in Egypt, at last.

Good Morning Happy Monday :energy: Hope everyone has a fantastic Monday! Everyone at our arabic church was shocked yesterday when they saw my hair! The mother of our pastors wife kept looking at it and saying in arabic, "where did all her hair go?!"

Tasha, Im sorry to hear that your husband wants to go back to Egypt for 2 months. That seems too long especially considering he was just there for 2 months. Have you talked to him about how your feeling about it ? Im sure he misses his home country and family but to be gone so much is not fair to you and your kids. I think for some of the guys, coming to the US has got to be shocking from what their dreams of America was. I know Adam mentioned to me along time ago and then 2 nights ago that living in Europe would be better. I have already told him that living in Europe would still be like living here... you work hard every day, pay bills all the time, you dont take vacations just whenever you want to, its not OK to call out of work bcz you want to, people still harass other people over there, the land is not any more free over there than here, the grass is NOT greener on the other side. Adam is starting to think that Americans are racist bcz he is made fun of alot at work either by customers or some associates. Customers think hes mexican so they make smart comments to him or speak to him in spanish to make fun of him. A couple of guys at work call him Sand N...., or Camel F or Arab Terrorist. Its not appropriate for work or anywhere and he hasnt learned to open door it or just ignore it.

But I do know for me, that when I try to get a point across to him for anything that if I yell and fuss he wont listen to me, if I act sad or if i am really sad and probably cry then hes more willing to listen to me as long as im not arguing or screaming at him.

Jess--your situation is similar to Ayman's. He has sons there and a son and me here. He has often said he just needs to clone himself or cut himself in half. I'm sure you can relate more than a lot of people can how he is feeling.
