Done my biometrics yesterday ( june 26,2009 ) and when i checked online i am able to add 2 applications into my porfolio.

Current status are :

PR - Pending

EAD - Card Production ordered June 26,2009

that was ridiculously fast!! congratssss

Yeah!!!! Finally my EAD card production was ordered!!!! Oh my god, I can't beleive it!!

Now I can be mad about not finding a job.

finally...............................got an email from CRIS.....my EAD card production was ordered on june 26..... yey.....

AP approved the other day and we FINALLY got the biometrics letter. Touched on EAD but no actual update.

I know, this is such a bad feeling. But look at mine, it took very very long....and finally I got it. When I called, they said, it also depends on the cases the person processing you has to do. Maybe he/her had a pretty difficult case before you, but they have to finish that before going on. I am sure, you will hear soon from them....don't give up, it is pretty close.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

B&J I noticed you applied a little into May (the 8th) I actually applied in April.... so I have been waiting a long time.

Cartman I somehow really doubt that I will hear anything this week. *sigh*

Hi all!,

My husband got his EAD on the mail last thursday (sad day also) but he is happy he got it, the only thign is that I thought it will be good for 2 years and is only good for one. Is that correct?. So evry year he is gonna have to spend money in EADs?.

OH never mind I found the answer to my question :

Renewing your EAD (assuming you filed for AOS). You may renew your EAD when your EAD nears expiration. You must renew your EAD to be able to work until you become a Permanent Resident (or Conditional Permanent Resident) at which time your "Green Card" will be proof of eligibility to work. A suggestion before filing is to check the processing time currently for EAD's and file at a time equal to the number of days before your EAD expires. ex: if the processing time is three months then apply for a renewal three months before your EAD expires. You will file as category ©(9), "adjustment applicant". (Where to file: mail, walk-in if allowable, efile)

Yes, you are right, but it depends on the date you did your biometrics, too. And I bet the person processing you is still working on April filers. That's what the girl from USCIS told me on the phone...it depends on who is processing your case. Don't give up. You have to coun't, which date is 75 days after your NOAs were issued. If you haven't heard anything till then you can call and they will try to find out what happened. But I don't think you have to wait that long anymore.

I'm with the Memphis office, and it's the same there. Judging by posts here, it seems like it is taking 5 months to get a green card, but according to the uscis website, it's over 12 months. Makes it hard to plan!
