Watch every episode and LOVE it!!! It replaced Big Love which I was also addicted to. It's sooooo funny. Bassi likes it too. He doesn't believe that Jill Scott is not African. He says her accent is on point. I guess one of his friends has to tell him. :P

I got HBO free for the weekend of the inauguration and somehow they never turned it off and I've been enjoying my free HBO ever since. Thanks Obama! I'll be sooooo disappointed if they ever turn it off. Bassi asked how much it costs, so I'm thinking he will be missing it enough to actually order it if they ever realize their mistake.

Zee: You have a tv? When did this happen? :P

Hi, saw the thread and had to step in here and comment. I saw the first book in the bookstore a few years ago and got it for my mom, knowing nothing about it, because it looked like a clean Miss Marple-style mystery, which she enjoys. She absolutely loved the first book, and we both started reading the rest of them. I'm tickled to see that HBO is making them into a series. Neither of us subscribes to HBO, but it's bound to hit DVD eventually, and I'll be waiting. :)

oh my gosh the book is fantastic! I don't have HBO but when I heard about my cousin is DVRing it for me. I love Jill Scott - the actress playing the detective in the series. If you have not yet seen any Tyler Perry movies, You should see Why Did I Get Married staring Jill Scott among others including Janet Jackson. Really love that man! Jill is a beautiful big woman and I cannot wait to see her in Botswana in this character who is subtle and amazing!
