Thank you for your replies guys! I'll start gathering all our documents and printing some of our Wedding, Christmas and family pictures, as well. Hopefully it will all go smoothly during the interview.

I'll keep on waiting for my EAD and AP updates, I hope I get to see my online updates on those cases pretty soon.

For those of you who are already looking for jobs, were you able to keep on doing what you did back home? Are you gonna be able to work in your same field?

When I looked for jobs I mainly tried looking for jobs that even they would be underneath the level what I did back home could provide me with some added skills in the future so that I can advance in the long term. I think this is most important for your job search so that you don't end up doing 1000 different things with no real track.

If I would get the job my interview was for then yes, I would be doing exactly what I did back home just in a lot smaller firm, which is alright for me as the working hours are much less than what I am used to.

I had my biometrics appointment today. It's a good feeling to get it out the way. I haven't been able to see my case online but tonight when i checked, it was there!! so they must have put it up online after my biometrics? My receipt number for AP (I-131) still says the number doesn't exist online but am happy the I-765 and I-485 is finally up!

Same hing here...I can see AOS and EAD but not AP online...Oh well, nothing has been updated since May 15 so I guess I still have a long time to wait....

Don't worry. You'll be fine even if you guys will have to go to an interview. Just be prepared and get both of your names on your car titles, bank accounts, lease contracts etc.

I had my job interview today and it really looks good guys! I will know for sure tomorrow as they have to interview the other person tomorrow afternoon. I am hoping, because I really like this position and company. And the best is they would be willing to work with me if I have to wait some more for the EAD. Cross your fingers for me!

Thinking a bit ahead.... as I'm pretty sure we'll have an interview as I took a look at other local office filers, all of them had interviews: We got a couple pictures of our marriage ceremony (even front page "local news" in county's newspaper!), his and my name on our housing lease....

I prefer to keep our bank accounts separate (maybe add a joint later on when he starts working).

Car title: It's under my name with a lien by the credit union. Should I add him? Does it cost extra? Wondered about your experiences... I'm also in the process of shopping for new driving insurance policy -- I've been with my agent for over 11 years, but I was jaw-dropping shocked at the quotes he provided me to add my husband to my current policy. I looked at GEICO, they seem to quote a much better rate for both of us... hmmm.... what are your options?

Krissy, I think you could find out how expensive it will be to add him to the car title before you do it. What about any utilities such as cable, phone, trash, water... etc. I would put both your names on those. Can you get some sworn affidavits? Have you traveled together? What about emails or phone call records?

Our situation is different than most since he was on an O1 and already has a ss number, the car is in his name because he got a much better interest rate so financially we don't want to add my name. We've had a joint bank account for several years even before we were married and are working on putting utilities in both are names.

Kelah & Ramiro, you could try calling to see if the RFE was received. I've read other places that the online status is not always updated so it maybe processing fine, but for peace of mind I would probably call just to double check.

We tried calling and they said they have no more information than what we can see on the website. How can I get through to someone with more information? The person I talked to at USCIS suggested an infopass appointment to find out if our RFE response was received.
