I'm trying to find something to watch on TV, and there is nothing on!!!

I love the home decor shows - HGTV

GS what plans for today? I think I am going to make a quick trip to DSW before I am headed home

I have been such a good girl lately, given the economy. Trying to save as much as I can. Not to mention there's talks of layoffs at my job come May, so I am crossing my fingers and spending only when necessary.

Have fun at DSW. My closet is still recovering from all the shopping I did throughout my 20s No more room lol (ok maybe that's a lie, there is always room for new clothes and shoes, but for now I am being ) I am sure my husband will be glad to read this post

I'm happy you reported it. Because it's pretty clear who started the 'nonsense'.

If you all want to have a thread where you talk about your delays and what not, then fine. No harm with that.

But this on-going paranoia about 'haters' is what's really immature.

Just because someone didn't go through what you are going through; or disagrees with you; or a combination of both - does not make them a 'hater'. I first started speaking occasionally to some of the people in this thread to assure them that this too (the pain) would pass. I was told to shut up.

Sorry I'm so late to the party! I got back really late Friday night and have spent yesterday and today getting up late and shopping Friends & Family weekend at Gap, Banana and Old Navy. Goo, my credit card... I know as soon as the hubby is here, I won't have time to shop, so that will solve that issue!

Yes, it is crazy how this process makes you look forward to Mondays. Saturday and Sunday have just become days when VSC/NVC aren't working on petitions.

I believe it's been resolved in a mature way as it ought to be As I always say, we all have enough stress and drama being apart from our SOs. Bringing drama on VJ is just uncalled for. Glad we all see eye to eye that we don't want any negativity in our little circle that we have come to enjoy. Others are welcome as long as they keep it civil and we have always welcomed everyone as we don't own the threads. I have really come to enjoy our threads and little group.

I feel exhausted today too and might try to go to bed early. Gotta be refreshed for the work week ahead.

Let's hope this week a lot of our wishes come true. We need NVC to be good to us so we can move on to step 3. I can't wait till we are at the consulate stage ..YAYYYYYYY Karma stars for everyone

I think it's good you have found your own support network. I may disagree with some of the ways you support each other because I personally believe negativity breeds negativity. But - I wasn't separated from my husband for ages. Because of that I cannot say with certainty how I would have behaved. I can say I would have been thankful for those who might have told me to calm down - I'm the kind of person who knows that can be good advice.

But I have a question for you, GS4.

Is it absolutely true that you would welcome anyone to 'your' thread as long as they kept it civil?

I am seriously asking because I have found that to not necessarily be true with these 'time watching' threads.

The first time I spoke to Lisa and Narina in these threads, I was civil. I was told that my own personal timeline was enough to 'disqualify' me from participation. I was rudely told to butt out.

It is true that I don't know what it is like to be separated from my husband for a long time. That didn't happen to us. But I'm a long time this side of the visajourney, and like anyone else here who has already been married awhile we've experienced some things that could be of help to those of you still separated.

Why is the length of someone's visa timeline such a dividing line? In my opinion, it need not be.
