wow this is getting to be serious. lol. yeah he was going to call irs tomorrow. maybe i'll just get him to talk to his HR dept. and find out nonchalantly about his 2006 W2. lol. I think he shouldve received one as he started work sept 2006. but he said he doesnt remember getting one that's why he didnt do his taxes. (?)

so let me get this straight. I shouldnt get him to call IRS. He doesnt have his 2006 W2. so I should submit a letter why there is no 2006 tax return? I have no idea what we would put on the letter

Hey everyone! May I join you guys for the ride? ;) I'm hoping that NVC is a smooth process.

borderdriver - With regards to your hubby's 2006 W2, I'm sure he can ask his Controller for a copy. I'm the petitioner in our case and I just asked my Controller the other day for the last 3 years. Somewhere between moving houses, all the paperwork is somewhere in this house and I couldn't find it anywhere. The US Dept of State website states that you must only submit the most recent year's tax return, so I think with 2 years, you'll be good. Most people want to send 3 just to be on the safe side.

Hope this helps ;)

I was thinking of the same.. Hopefully, our case would be complete next week.. I do not know if we could sched CR1 interview soon or might try to flip K3 interview to CR1.. I just want to have positive thoughts now that we are all out of VSC misery.. :innocent:

For the DS-230 package, you don't need the petitioner's birthcertificate. You can send if you wish, but you don't need to.

I would also arrange the package in the following way:

1. Cover Letter (place the photographs in a small clear platic bag or white envelope (write photographs on the envelope) and attach the cover letter, remember to write lightly your name, case number and date of birth on the back)

2. Barcode Coversheet

3. Signed DS-230 Part 1

4. Unsigned DS-230 Part 2

5. Copy of Passport Biographic pages

6. Original and copy of Marriage Certificate

7. Original and copy of Birth Certificate

8. NBI Clearance

9. Police Clearance

For the AOS Package:

If you are submitting tax transciprts you don't need to send the 1099s

arrage in the following order:

1. Cover Letter

2. Bar Code sheet

3. I-864 signed

4. 2008 W-2 and 1099s

5. 2008 tax return

6. 2007 W-2

7. 2007 Tax Transcript

8. 2006 W-2

9. 2006 Tax transcript

10. Employment letter

11. 6 months of pay statements.

Hope this helps. This is how I submitted both of my packages.

Good Luck!!!
