We're number 8, and I finally see something that gives me a little hope after a few days bordering on despair. No approvals yesterday, which the optimist in me hopes is an indication that they're going back to the older cases (like ours and jcg303's) that apparently need a little more work and getting these moved on instead of clearing cases filed a month later but from more "common" countries where there's probably a smoother and more well-worn information pathway.

No offense to the later March and April filers, but quit cutting in line! :D

Seriously, best of luck to everyone who's moved on to the State Dept. phase. Good luck with the rest of your journey. Please wish us luck in joining you at the end of this long, dark tunnel.

HAHA I was telling my fiance the same thing that we are identical in our timelines. Did you call nVC again Don't want to give you false hope, but I looked up the DHL tracking status, and they sent out a package to Germany yesterday as well as ours to Rio and several other countries. Maybe yours was the one sent to Germany? Good luck!

just talked to them and they told me that they are still putting our case in the system and will then forward it. she said I could call back in the middle of next week. hope they send it out for sure next week.

how can you see the dhl tracking status??

When they tell you that they have sent it out, lets say they say it was sent on the 27th, you add a day and track it on the DHL tracking by referance, the referance you enter is EXP (2 digits for day) (3 digits for month) yearA

So if they sent it on the 27th your tracking date would actually be the 28th (they send it the day after) and you would track by referance EXP 28 JUL 2009A

So did you find out if they sent yours? There is another one to Rio that was sent out today, so not sure which one is ours. Maybe the one sent today since she told me yesterday, "We sent it out today." If I have to add a day then it would the second one because our reference number would be one day later. Either way I will track both packages to the embassy! :)

Franziska, I don't know everything, im just a research guru, I can google up an answer to pretty much anything :D You think this is good, my fiance thinks I'm a genious just because I read things like the bathroom readers and watch documentaries on TV, so I'm full of useless knowledge lol. If I didn't know what was going on in this process we would be so screwed cuz Wes doesn't understand any of it, he just knows he wants be down there
