Are they going to put all the people transfered to California Service Center to the end of the line....? Does anyone know?

I got that too. Yet, it says nothing about where HERE is. I got transferred to CSC but still, why not say where?

standard form letter they all send out.

But yes, it would be helpful if they had a new one for transfers to avoid any confusion and needless worry! :)

04/18/06 - NOA1

08/30/06 - NOA2

09/26/06 - received at NVC

20/11/06 - visa in my pocket!

14/01/07 - POE

13/04/07 - marriage

27/04/07 docs sent in for AOS, EAD, AP

26/06/07 - biometrics appointment

02/17/07 - AP and EAD arrive

03/03/08 - Infopass - where the heck is my AOS interview?? No one knows!

I also noticed that it didn't state where HERE is. Typical government confusion. There was also no link in the email although it stated "click on the link below to check your status online". Really, they don't need to continually prove to us how inefficient they are.

Anyway, I would think they need to go by the original NOA1 date - if that were not the case, they would have issued a new NOA1 from CSC. At least that's what I think and hope is right. When I had my senator's office check last week, they said 30-60 days. I put zero faith in that, but at least they didn't say 80-110 which was the original quote from NSC around the time I submitted.

To add to the confusion. My fiance called CSC on Monday and asked them that very question, whether or not we were put the bottom of the list since we were transfer or would we still go by our NOA1 date. Their answer was there usual aloofness...they are not put the bottom but they are not exactly at the top either...so basically I think what they were trying to say was they are going through the CSC and the NCS are thrown in the mix...so it should be by NOA1. Hard to say. They certainly arent the most forthcoming with their information.

I hate to bring it up, but the other side to that coin is what will happen to California petitions? Are we going to have to wait longer because of the transfer. We may all be screwed. I don't understand why they would transfer people to the slowest center, why not Vermont - they move super fast.

Why, that would make complete sense, which is why they did the opposite. I'm 47 years old and it has been my experience that 30% of government workers are morons and they wind up slowing the other 60% down. Get used to it....

08/07/05 - Traveled to Bangkok on business.

08/23/05 - Met Paveena in Bangkok.

03/25/06 - Spent a total of 6 months in Thailand, back to USA.

06/14/06 - Touched with a NOA1 notice from CSC. Great. Next time the government decides to take over health care or some other important/large enterprise, remember the IMBRA fiasco and be glad you were not waiting for a heart transplant.

I am also confused about this, my date for the ncs was March 29th, I have received notice of transfers today saying that my case was transferred to the csc on June 6th. I will call tomorrow and let you know what I find out.

Also I checked today to see what processing date the csc was on and they are still on 2-3-06. They updated yesterday and the date has not changed from the last update. What does this mean that they have not processed any K-1 Visa's in the last month?

If it took 2 weeks (June 1-June 14) total for petitions to be send to AND received by CSC, I wonder how long it will take them to send out RFE's to everyone with an NOA1 after March 6, receive them back, match them to the appropriate petition, then begin adjudicating it... and they have to do this for 10,000 people! Not very encouraging is it? ( Still trying to be hopeful!)

March 9, 2006- Sent NOA1

March 13, 2006- Received NOA1 from NSC

March 23, 2006- Touched

June 1, 2006- Petition sent from NSC to CSC

June 2, 2006- Touched

June 3, 2006- Touched

June 14, 2006- Notice from CSC that petition was received

June 15, 2006- Touched

That statement is a bit strong. Lets hope they can't match your name to the petition. Just kidding, of course.

However, they may have chosen to not reveal the "actual" processing dates due to the IMBRA scrutiny. After the RFE docs go out to everyone and some start to trickle in, we may see a major jump in processing. Having worked for the Government, this approach would make perfect sense. Homeland Security got nailed for their failure to prepare for IMBRA, so they are now being cautious, yet expiditious.
