hi everyone! my wife is getting her medical exam today...did anyone's spouse get their medical yet?

Hi Kevin,

I had my medical on 15th June and my records were sent to the Embassy on 18th June. I was told I'd passed on the day and haven't heard from them since, so I'm assuming blood work and chest x-ray were ok.

I've been told that the clinic (Knightsbridge Doctors in London) get back to you if there is a problem, so I think everything is ok

Just waiting patiently now until the interview on 31st July - it seems so far away!

This is TOTALLY an OT but just had to share what I found out today!!

Starting July 1, 2009 one can reduce their student loan payments. President Bush made this happen (see he is a GOOD guy!). Anyways, basically your yearly payment would be 15% of what the government calls your discretionary income. The formula for that is your yearly income minus 150% poverty level that equals your discretionary income, so your yearly payment is 15% of that - your monthly payment would be that amount divided by 12. First your payment goes toward interest, then fees, then principal. IF your payment doesn't cover your interest then the GOVERNMENT pays the interest (for 3 years). You can have income based payments for 10 years. IF after 25 years your loans still are paid (and you are making the payments) you remainder of the balance is FORGIVEN!

This is GREAT news for me, so thought others could benefit from it also!
