From what I read yesterday that wasn't what was suggested at all. All that was said was that its in rather poor taste to make fun of someone based on personal characteristics that they have no control over.

Whether or not individuals find Caroline Kennedy attractive is totally separate to whether or not she was a good choice for the NY Senate.

We don't elect/appoint public officials on the basis of whether or not they are photogenic. Hell even American Idol doesn't do that.
