how long does it take for cr1 visa interview to be issued after nvc approval of case??

HI all............... I am new to this website ..........can someone PLEASE tell me generally how long it takes for the interview date to be set up once nvc completes case? My case was completed on Dec29 2008 and i still havent received anything. I know it may sound like im being impatient but I got married in jun 2007 and am still waiting for my husband to get here. Its a shame it takes this long for a US citizen to bring their spouse over.

Where can i can to get info about the interview date. I called the visa bulletin number on the NVC website but that is sooo hard to understand.

I called the nvc info line and all that says is "case was completed on 29dec2008 pls allow 8 weeks for further info"

The NVC schedule 2nd weekd of the each Month. So You can call back On the week of Feb.9th.

My case was completed on dec 24th.

The operators ladies dont know anything except the info they see on the computer monitor.

will have to wait 3 more weeks.

Our case was complete this past Friday 01/16/09 and I'm hoping they schedule an interview for February. When I talked to the NVC operator lady she said that I might get a February interview. I'm keeping mu fingers crossed

[HI, we are all in the same boat..thank god, we are not alone..lol...our case was completed from nvc DEC31st... I am still waiting for my husband's interview..let's all keep our fingers crossed that the interview will be febuary.....good luck to all..please, let's keep each other informed especially the interview....

the thing that i get annoyed about the most is whenever i c someone i know and they ALLLLLLLLLL ask me ... "when is ur husband coming... is he here yet?" drives me crazy.............. i think thats the most frustrating part of alll

And i called last friday January 16 if i have schedule already, operator said "No, and they are finish scheduling for interiew for the month of february and told me that its their responsibility to schedule me on March. So im still waiting and hopefully first week til 2nd week of feb, they will say "Yes"they scheduled us already. GOD bless us all.....

HI everyone. My case was complete 11/4/08. My lawyer contacted the NVC they said yes case is complete just waiting interview in Cairo embassy. I see Cairo has numerious DV interviews in February. This is probably why we did not get in February. I pray we all will be with our loved ones soon!!

i am sooooooooooooooooo frustrated..................i have been trying to call the visa specialist line all day. I have been on hold on 2 phones waiting to get thru.............as on right now on one phone i have been on hold for 1 hour and 9 mins and on the second phone i have been on hold for 2 hours and 41 mins...........

do agents actually answer the phone and is it just a loop? i have wasted half of my day with this......................

all i can think is why me??????????????????????????

and the nvc has just completed it last month..................... why is it taking us sooooooooooooooooo long????????????? its soooooooooooooo unfair.......... if i was a rich woman..................i would have just moved overseas

i think it is important to realize that you cant set your hopes on any time frame

there is none

every situation is so different

there are also no guarantees

unfortunately, like all who have gone before, you just have to do everything to letter and wait

certainly utilize all your options

but as hard as it is ....you need to keep lots of patience

I know how u feel because I get those same questions and its soo annoying... not only that it seems to be a tease... u would think others would be gentle in this situation....

good luck to u ... my husband has been in administrative processing for 6 + months now..... nothing from the DOS about the progress they all tell me the same thing...
