Visitor Visa Rejected - Not telling same information as what is on the application.

My parents got visitor visa rejection today. What should we do next, they said re-apply. The problem occured during questioning. Talking to local congressman helps? How do they help?

A congressman can't help. The best thing to do is wait a couple of months to reapply. As India is a high-fraud country, your parents must provide very compelling evidence that they are compelled to return home, and so are really unable to stay in the US when they visit.

my initial reaction as well ... other than the statement that the consulate, i believe if I read correctly, indicated to re-apply....

They asked how long they will stay in US. My parents said about a month or maybe 2 if we like it there. On Application we stated 2-3 months, to be in safe side. Rep says what you are saying and what is on application dont match.
