Imagine it all covered in vomit. Imagine in 1-2 years when your child finds that permanent marker under the couch you forgot about. Imagine it covered in poop by same aged child that discovers the magic in his diaper. Imagine your child finding a small screwdriver and thinks of becoming a woodworker.

I have to say, buying new is a waste of money, but I am cheap and know that kids live to destroy everything nice you might possess. It is an instinct, I swear.

what i imagine is if we're capable to put away things like cleaning products so the child won't find it and die, i'm sure we can put away screw drivers and permanent markers. I've never done anything like that when I was a kid, neither did my siblings, my mom knew better than leaving things like that laying around. As for the vomit, i'm pretty sure as long as the kid doesn't need an exorcism, because that's the only way i see it ''all'' covered in vomit, a little vomit here and there cleaned right after it happened won't make the bedroom look nasty

sorry you had a bad life experience ;)
