You can have the cold. I'm still waiting for global warming to kick in!

Whatever you say...thy will be done.

I knew you controlled the weather, you computerized thingamabob.

I might have a say in its... motions... but the automation system is overloaded.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Last christmas, my stepbrother raised his glass at the dinner table and said (out of nowhere) "and on this day, a king was born"

I almost spit out my drink.

really guy? THIS day?

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Do people really care? It's more of a spiritual Holiday than anything else in my opinion. Besides, Christmas in hot June is not the same as having it in snowy December.

Diana

What about hot places south of the equator? It is hot in December, as it is in southern parts of the US.

St. Nicholas's feast day is December 6th and for centuries in his honor was the day for giving gifts, but somehow he got bumped up to December 25th. The early Roman Christians had to celebrate their holidays, such as the birth of Jesus on common Roman holidays, with the persecutions going on, they all celebrated, but didn't say for what.

But Christmas is becoming more commercial and even anti-Christ every year, can't even say Merry Christmas anymore. Wife and I went to three stores looking for a nativity for our tree was told they don't even handle them anymore. Could only ask, was Jesus fired!

Buying gifts is a pain in the butt, can never guess right if the gift you give is equal to the one you received, really not giving, but exchanging, perhaps why the day after Christmas is extremely busy, returning gifts. Ha, they even offer gift receipts now to make that easier.

And when kids see their parents give gifts to friends or relatives, they ask, where is my present? You got plenty of toys and things. Yeah but that was from Santa Clause, not from you!

NickD, I have been standing in the shadows reading the comments, thread highjacking, and baby being 3 years old,

but your comment is the one I choose as the best and most closely to what Christmas really represents to us today.

Thanks a lot, Oh, and Merry Christmas to you and family from mine.
