02/03/2009 Interview - APPROVED!!

02/28/2009 POE Raleigh/Durham

05/02/2009 Official wedding day...get to see the family!

04/11/2009 AOS paperwork sent

04/17/2009 NOA for I-765 & I-131

05/13/2009 Biometrics appointment

05/08/2009 Biometrics done

06/05/2009 EAD & AP approved

06/23/2009 back in the UK

My SO is coming here for christmas...to meet my family.

Poor Man.

That's why I made sure we filed the K1 before he met my mother :-)

08/21/2009 - AOS package sent

08/28/2009 - NOA 1 for AOS, EAD, AP

08/31/2009 - Cheque cashed

09/05/2009 - Biometrics notice received

09/23/2009 - Biometrics Appointment

09/23/2009 - I-485 Transferred to CSC

10/02/2009 - EAD Approved (card production) & AP approved!

10/11/2009 - EAD Card received

10/20/2009 - AOS approved, GC card production ordered! (53 days in total)

10/26/2009 - Green Card received - nearly 11 months to the day of our K1 NOA 1!

11/25/2009 - Started my new job!

02/26/2010 - Passed my driving test :-p

07/20/2011 - Eligible to remove conditions

2012 - Going for citizenship

09/20/2011 - Removal of conditions submitted to VSC....here we go...again!

It's been a quick and relatively painless journey thanks to tireless research, dumb luck and this community :)

DONE with USCIS for a while :)

We will get to celebrate New Years together at the baltic sea! Really looking forward to this as having this evening together was especially important to me.

This christmas will probably be the last one with only my own family together. So it will be good for all of us to enjoy it again.

My poor Chris is headed down under, to the heat, kangaroos and the perils of meeting my family for the first time...... Anyone know if he can still cancel the petition at this stage? Im a little worried lol.

04-25-2007 Admitted that we had feelings for each other started talking on skype everyday!

10-12-2007 Met in US in person for the first time, love at first sight lol, 2 perfect months together.

06-26-2009 Paperwork Fedex'ed to lawyer

07-02-2009 Lawyer submitted our suit to court

07-17-2009 Court day 2: Success, must respond by 21st August. - No result ever came from this.

10/06/2009 Withdrew K1 petition

10/10/2009 Married

10/24/2009 CR1 packet completed and posted

10/26/2009 Packet arrived at Chicago - And Submitted our Aussie application

11/04/2009 Application of CR1 returned - was rejected because of a "blurry zip code" we didn't bother to re-apply given that Chris had lost his job

04/05/2010 Australian application still pending

September 2010 - Chris arrived in Australia on Temporary Visa.

10/10/2011 - 2 year wedding anniversary - Chris to be granted Australian Permanent Residency

Summer 2012 - Planned immigration to USA.

*We have visited each other 8 times since 2007*

I will be heading to Colombia to hang there- it will be my third time to visit my fiance over there. I'm not sure what Christmas time in Colombia will be like! Vamos a ver.... :dance:

11/13/2008 - I-129F NOA1 issue date

11/17/2008 - Received NOA1 hard copy in the mail

1/23/2009 - Received email stating I was approved (NOA2) on 1/22/2009

1/26/2009 - Recieved NOA2 hard copy in the mail

4/29/2009 - Embassy interview date - was put into AP (given a form with 221(g) box checked)

12/25/2009 - Still stuck in AP- almost 8 MONTHS and counting... :(

12/28/2009 - Embassy finally called my gal for another "interview"

1/14/2010 - VISA APPROVED at the second interview- took about 8 1/2 months of AP

1/21/2010 - Visa delivered by courier- BUT, she opened sealed envelope that was for U.S. Immigration at POE.

Now embassy in Bogota wants us to do the medicals all over again.... nightmare continues.....

2/22/2010 - She went back to Bogota to get labs and medical re-done. Then back to embassy where they finally

re-issued the visa. Is valid until July 13th

7/3/2010 - She made it to the U.S. finally!!! I filed on November 11th 2008 and went thru 8 1/2 months of AP

1/7/2011 - Notified by email from USCIS packet was received

1/25/2011 - Notified by email we are receiving an RFE

2/4/2011 - Sent translated birth cert in (RFE)

2/9/2011 - Biometrics done

3/1/2011 - EAD/AP card received

I arrived the day before thanksgiving and will be here until the end of Feb unless I get an inteview before hand :-)

1997 - Jess and I met chatting on Mirc and lost touch after a few months

12-22-07 - I tracked Jess down on Myspace and we began to talk daily on IM and telephone

02-29-08 - I flew to New York and we met in person. Amazing - the connection was real

03-11-08 - I flew home - both heart broken yet totally in love.

04-10-08 - I flew back to NY. Asked for fathers blessing.

04-14-08 - I flew home to plot propsal.

05-17-08 - Jess flew to UK - engaged 4 hrs later :-)

05-26-08 - Jess fly's home.

06-13-08 - We contract Immigration attorneys to guide us through the K1 process.

07-03-08 - Jess sends pack to attorneys for checking. (lawyers paperwork)

07-08-08 - Lawyers send out official forms for us to check and sign. Completed same day an returned.

07-09-08 - The big man at the law firm checks our packet for the last time.

07-10-08 - I-129F gets mailed to USCIS VSC

08-01-08 - NOA 1

09-12-08 - Jess has flights booked to the UK.

09-20-08 - Jess fly's home after another amazing visit.

11-26-08 - Dave flew back to NY and is here on an extended visit. Heading back end of feb 2009 unless

Interview comes first :-)

12-04-08 - NOA 2

12-19-08 - Application leaves NVC for London

01-02-09 - P3 leaves embassy...

01-14-09 - No sign of P3...

01-23-09 - Still No P3 - downloaded forms and sent in anyway

01-29-09 - P3 Confirmed receipt at London Consulate.

02-09-09 - DOS confirms interview for 10th March

02-22-09 - Dave Fly's back to UK

02-23-09 - Medical

03-10-09 - Interview

think good thoughts and keep your fingers crossed for us... :whistle:

i'm flying to mongolia this saturday night - her/our interview is dec. 17 - hopefully have visa in hand dec. 19 - fly back to LA dec. 21... then celebrate christmas with my baby under a southern california sun!!!!!!! :yes:

with everyone's help here at vj it's been a pretty smooth process so far - here's hoping the last of this part of the journey is just as smooth.

we've been very fortunate so far... for all those who won't be with their loves this year, my christmas wish for you is that your dreams come true quicker than you realize, faster than you ever thought possible, and that this small gap isn't even a memory when you start your lives forever together.

07/30/08- I-129F was delivered to Vermont

08/11/08- NOA1

12/14/08- NOA2

02/11/09 Interview (Approved!)

03/07/09 POE at JFK

03/13/09 Married!

04/08/09- NOA1 for AOS and EAD (we didn't apply for AP)

04/22/09- Case Transferred to CSC

04/24/09- Biometrics Appointment

05/22/09- EAD card production ordered

05/29/09- EAD approval notice sent

06/01/09- EAD arrived in the post

06/18/09- I-485 RFE notice via email

06/25/09- I-485 RFE notice via mail

(They wanted him to redo medical exam- they must've lost it. They also wanted a copy of our marriage certificate, even though we included that in our original submission.)

07/03/09- Medical exam (second one this year grrr!)

07/06/09- I-485 RFE response mailed back to CSC via USPS

07/08/09- I-485 RFE response package delivered at CSC

07/10/09- I-485 Case Processing Resumed (CRIS email)

07/16/09- I-485 Card Production Ordered

07/21/09- I-485 Approval Notice Sent

07/24/09- Green card received in the post!

me and my beautiful wife will be spending X Mas together in USA.

First time since I meet her almost 2 years ago.

Hopefully next year we will be spending X-Mas back in the Philippines where it is nice and warm.......

I'm not going to spend Xmas with my American :crying:

We're so sad... It's really ironic, we were together for Xmas since we met, and now that we are MARRIED for 1 year we can't be together for the hollidays!!!! :angry:
