Your case may be on its way to NVC, or it may still be stuck at USCIS. Apparently that does happen sometimes, USCIS holds on to a file (or loses it ) before it gets sent to NVC.

Here's another VJ member that apparently had this happen to him.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showuser=48925

He was not stuck at NVC. He got his NOA2 on Dec 22 but it didn't get to NVC until March 10.

I feel your pain - this is even worse than AP@NVC. At least with NVC, we get a case #, a phone number to call, and for those who find this thread - we have the comfort of knowing roughly where we stand in the process of getting released (even though NVC won't tell us a thing). But in your case if you're somehow lost in between USCIS and NVC, I think all you can do is keep calling both till you get them to locate your file. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How I remember about the way of our case from USCIS to NVC, our case was approved on 6 Feb and next 2 weeks we didn't have nothing.. just kept calling to NVC and USCIS. NVC said that never got it, USCIS said that they sent it and we had to call them in a week again. If NVC gets nothing within a week to call again and then they start searching where the case was lost. I think you have to keep calling them.

And today we also called to NVC.. and today the operator asked Joe to call them every 2 days.. Does it mean we are close to the end?!?! Before they asked to call on Fridays, today every 2 days..

Anyone know how long a K1 medical exam is good for for the embassy in Kiev, Ukraine?

I have heard the police certificate are good for 6 months, any thoughts?

I asked my fiancee to gather everything in advance and she passed the medical exam already.

Didn't know about that the NVC could further delay our case.

I don't have any criminal history but my name is similar to a pop singer's, and I have had 2 traffic citations in the past.

My fiancee's personality test (Brigg's & Myer & Jung test ) is the same as Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr., Nicole Kidman, Jerry Seinfeld, Jimmy Carter to name a few.

And I, and everyone who knows her can confirm this.

My fiancee is a real sweetheart that will help make this world a happier place to live.

And I truly believe she is not a threat to our national security.

If your fiance is healthy its valid 1 year, if not 6 months. But don't forget that this medical package will need when you start making AOS after marriage.. So count.. When I called to clinic I was said it's better to pass medical interview closer to visa interview. I rescheduled it because of AP at NVC.

Thanks [Joe & Nadya], for your input.

How would the medical exam effect the AOS? Couldn't we just get another medical exam here in the US if the date needs to be more current for the AOS?

My fiancee is extremely healthy so we'll have no problem, but the 18 hour round trip train ride to Kiev is no walk in the park.

Best wishes on your journey..

I think so, we got the "if you call back next week, maybe we can tell you somethign different" right before our release. Before that it was always "there is no timeframe fo this process"

I think the operators feel sorry for us and give us little hints

Hoping that next time you call, you will get the good news, Nadya :)

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!
