I use Firefox (#1 choice), Google Chrome, Opera, and IE as a last resort.

IE has infinite security issues, plus it is STILL using outdated HTML/CSS standards. In other words, web designers have to create webpages with code for all other browsers on the planet that use the current standards, PLUS add in little IE work-arounds that will render the page using IE's outdated standards.

Unfortunately, some designers ONLY know IE/ASP/Microsoft #######, so they build their site and it will ONLY work on IE. Some banks are guilty of this, in my experience. Odd, since they need to worry about security the most. For those stone-age sites, there is a plug-in for Firefox that will let you view the page as if you were in IE.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

yeah that kind of bugs me that some sites only work in IE... but the IE tab application in Firefox works great...

Adding another voice for Firefox from a previous Internet Explorerer user.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Definitely use Firefox primarily, but there are things that it seems to have trouble with that force me to support the pig. Some of my Java apps don't load in Firefox, certain media players don't size correctly, and also I wish there was a way to download files directly to my personal directories instead of to the desktop. Maybe I'm not doing something right.

you are not doing something right

Tools menu>>> Options>>> main tab

you can either choose to save files to a certain folder or you can choose to have it ask where to save the file every time you want to save something...

A little over 5 years ago I got sick of IE pop-ups so I switched to Phoenix, which became Firebird, which became Firefox. I remember how unsophisticated, and overly encompassing their pop-up blocker was. Even then it was sooo much better than Internet Exploder. Stuck to it ever since, until a better, lightweight, less-bloated browser comes along.

I use Firefox and Opera...my husband has banned any use if IE in our house

He's a smart cookie.

The state of Indiana Internet Services department (accessIndiana) also doesn't allow IE, except for compliance testing. Outlook is also expressly banned.

Firefox here too.

I did try Google chrome, but didn't really enjoy it much, may be I am more used to firefox addons. Though for sites with loads of images (all the gossip sites) I use Opera.
