We just got our travel document and i was wondering how long other people had to wait after that until they got their interview, or interview notice

no correlation between the two since they are independantly adjudicated applications

YMMV

63 days...

Nobody can answer that since there are so many variables involved.

Correct, and since the poster did not have a timeline it is unknown if they used K-1, or some other visa to enter the USA. Also profile lacks their "Field office" location, so cannot even look up specific processing times by field office to get an idea when an interview may happen.

This is a big reason people need to fill in profile details, and timelines BEFORE posting questions.

In many cases persons adjusting status from a K-Visa never get an interview, it is transferred to CSC and approved without interview.

stop whining like little babies. If you dont want to answer my question, just move on to another thread.

I never asked what the exact time will be, i just asked what people have experienced

its not that complicated., you could just say, "i got the AP on this date.... and i got the interview notice/interview on this date"

My wife came on the K1 visa, and we live in the San Francisco area.

If you understood the disparity between processing times at different District Offices, you would understand the need for the information requested. Try checking the timelines and searching on your District office.

Then again, you could get lucky and not have to be interviewed.

I checked the timelines, but didn't seem to find any timeline which showed the arrival of the AP and the Interview date on the same timeline.

You wont, AP processing is separate from AOS processing, they do not have any connection, AP approval time has NO connection on when AOS will be interviewed or approved.

Currently Average days for AP (NOA1 to approval) is 62 days...Average days for AOS is around 155 days..so a ballpark would be around 90+ days after AP is issued...

Hi, we filed for AOS, EAD, and AP at the same time. Got NOA's for all three the same date. We had our AOS interview which we were approved, some do not get picked for interview. We also asked about the AP document and was told to wait for green card before traveling. They do not stamp passports anymore. This is all you should need to know.

Who gave you this mis-information? It's not accurate. There is a reason why there exists an AP document.

The only time that one should wait for the GC and not bother with an AP is when they have overstay. It's better to wait until they have a GC to travel internationally.

This is true if and only if the GC is approved before AP is approved....

YMMV

Actually since you are a K1 you probably won't have an interview. Most K1s get the initial 2 year gc without interview. My wife's took 3 months to recieve after AP was issued without having an interview
