So I sent an angry email to my lawyer yesterday, because three weeks ago, he said he'd "send an inquiry" to see what was going on with our case, and although I'd emailed him twice, he hadn't responded. Until tonight. He said, "the only response I have received is that the case is in progress." SERIOUSLY!?!?! I paid you how much for that? C'mon!! So frustrating. I KNOW it's "in progress" it's been "in progress" for 6 months! Why is it STILL in progress? What the heck am I paying him for?!?!?!?!?! Sorry guys, I really needed to vent. I'm so grumpy. When is this going to end?

And why has the CSC number been disconnected??

Yup...same here. You are on similar timeline as us! Our lawyer told us at the beginning of this whole process that they have the ability to speak to immigration officials and can contact USCIS office directly (yeah right!). I called them 2 days ago (after emailing them several times & got no response) to ask them what they could do to speed up this process. Their response was "call back at the end of November as we can't get anymore information than you can!" I was like..wot the hell!!!

It's soooo frustrating..wot exactly are we paying these people for?

So the moral of this story is DON'T USE A LAWYER!

there is an upside for me at least having been made to wait so long.......i met a lot of great people here and have made a few lasting friendships......i learned how to spell congratulations correctly lol.....and it has given perviz and i chance to experience what each other is like in our very best and our very worst attitudes that we would not have gotten to see until after marraige......i also learned that our politicians are not as great as i had always thought they were so i dont look up to them anymore......i learned im stronger than i thought i ever could be.......and most important i learned that matter how bad my situation is there are those that are having a harder time than i am........

Estadia: I'd like to see you get that NOA2, it's way over due. I'm curious what has kept you from getting a visit in since filing your petition? You have no control over that NOA2 but I'd think you could make a visit happen (preferably a long visit!).

hi, well a couple of reasons first this is my last year of college and i have loans out paying for it so i cant just up and go second we are muslim i can not travel alone to meet him and there just is not enough money for me to take my mom with me yet........and the biggest reason if i go now he will want to get married and i would also so it is not just all him lol and we would have to start the visa process all over again.....after waiting this long it does not seem logical to do that.........we do have a back up plan if we are still waiting as of this coming june i will be moving and getting married........if that happens its very doubtful he will again try for visa to usa i had to talk for about two years to get him to agree to it this time............

Hey, I had some 'feedback' (woo hoo) from our lawyer today. They say that the reason the wait times for CSC has increased is down to the fact that they stopped working on K visas back in May, for 4 weeks.

This was due to the backlog of naturalisation visas so they all worked on these instead!

Whether that's just somethin they told me because they couldn't think of anything else...who knows!
