I do hope it's NOA2 although i'm not really sure what to think at this point. I started this whole process thinking it would be just 4 months to get the approval but i guess not all of us gets that privilege.

I tried to call once and was told that my application was indeed outside their processing time. However, since i'm not the petitioner i can't do anything further...the rep needs the permission to look into the file and see what might be the problem. My boyfriend hasn't had a chance to try calling USCIS himself, so we decided to wait and see.

i have called many times myself but now all u can get is customer service and they are not an officer so they only know what is on the web site it is a useless waste of money they are being paid to answer the phones and give u the same information u can get on the net...............ur s/o should call and ask for service request that makes them look to see what is going on and they will send u a letter telling u where ur file is now and the status of it

Why, Why. WHY??? Is this happening to us????

None of it make any sense.

I can't see a common thread amoung us to say why we are so far behind everyone else.

I got a touch Friday, Monday and Wednesday after my Congressman talked to them last thursday, so that may have helped.

I just wish that we had some sort of voice, some control over this horrible situation.

God Bless all of you, Your love will probably end up stronger because of all this.

ur really lucky ur congressman will do anything in our state or at least the part i live in he wont do anything at all the only one that does anything is senator wyden i called his office today and they are sending their second inquiry into our case i hope it helps but deep inside of me i really believe a congressman would carry more weight with them than a senator

Wow! I didn't realize that. My Congressman has a person in his office dedicated to immigration. I have never dealt with a congressman or a senator so I had no idea.

I just hope and pray it helped. And I think everyone here is praying for you Sara, your story is the saddest. :(

Sara, what happens when you call and ask for a "service request?" I haven't heard back from my congressman's office, so I don't want to call the USCIS myself. Just wondering... thanks!

Good Luck Sara..our thoughts & prayers are with you.

how do you actually speak to someone at the USCIS? The number we call is just a machine and there isn't an option to speak to a 'real' person.

How long after 6 months will they help? I think i read on here that we have to wait another 60 days before anyone will look at it.

I spoke to our lawyer yesterday and was told that the delay is sometimes caused by officers being extremely thorough in their job. Other officers are really quick. We're are all just unlucky!

10/21/09 Received EAD card

12/7/09 AOS APPROVED!

12/14/09: Green Card arrived in mail. Happy Days!

It's taken 18 months from applying for K1 to receipt of Green Card! Thank God it's over until 12/7/11
