It doesn't ring true to me. The Secret Service intervene after her 5 second speech? Methinks she possibly said a tad more. After finding out that the conversation wasn't taped, she can, of course, now say anything she likes.

Oh, so you people don't believe someone's else story. Notice Mrs. Hughes assumed the call was taped to provide exculpatory evidence for the Obama campaign and people called in the event of trouble.

I'm saying it doesn't ring true. In her words, this conversation must have taken all of 5 seconds, before she hung up. Yet she admits being rude and says her words were twisted by the caller. We don't know when she found out the conversation wasn't taped. If we are to believe her absolutely, then the caller contacted the Secret Service either to ** with her or misheard what she said (when she was being rude and hanging up). Or this woman did add that, like the babies, Obama would die in a hospital too. Regardless of the politics of the woman, I tend to believe that the latter is the case.

Can't believe that in this day in age, there are still voters believing things or making up things to defend their status without having a grasp on the reality.

Oh yeah, believe it! My in-laws still believe Obama is a Muslim and has ties to the Arab world. My husband, who is a staunch Democrat, is completely appalled, he told them they're either fools, played by the Republicans who would say anything just to get elected, or they have other reasons for not voting Democrat in this elections.

Sounds fair enough. If Obama wins a lot more people than usual will be accused of making "perceived threats" in addition to the real threats.

I do find it interesting that most, if not all of the negative labelling we're seeing seems to come exclusively from the political right.
