The really sad thing about apeach's impatience in statring this topic again is that i have read multiple posts about dominican republic taking a solid year for an interview even after noa2 is recieved. So i do feel sorry that she has such a long wait, but still at the rate she is going she'll drive herself crazy well before interview time.

But still i do wish her well

Yeah I don't see the need to get impatient and vent after not even a month has passed, I was still happy to have the process started at that time frame, I didn't complain until about 90 days in (and I never really complained as it was in the processing timeframe which I expected and others had waited LONGER than me) and then filed my I-129F for K-3, plus I had to wait 3 months to file my I-130 because I didn't have the money to file :(

I think you could vent about the process itself but not about your "extremely long" waiting period of 19 days.

I got excited when CSC updated their processing dates page last month, and the I-129F date jumped from 4 months to 2 months!!! Now they have updated again, and the date didn't change, so it's back to 3 months!!! :(

If I get my NOA2 in 3 months I will consider myself fortunate!

There is nothing easy about waiting!

I was shocked when my noa2 came at 60 days. I had already expected 90-120 days ... I just hope the OPs expectations for the speed of this process is not misguided ... i feel LUCKY to have completed the process in 5 months. And I feel for those of you whos journey had been dragged out for long periods of time. :(

venting is healthy, but after you have a reason to vent. Im on day 80 waiting for my NOA2, and ive given my opinion, but not vented yet, i think ill get to the venting stage when it passes day 100. The thing is, no one is going to get their visas in a matter of 2 weeks. The visa process is not for weak people, if you havent learnt patience, then this is the time to do so. If you cant, then you have a longer and more frustrated waiting time on your hands.

We are all frustrated from time to time. Maybe Peach started off a bit more nervous than others on here. I don't buy the "put in your time then vent" attitude.

If you expect something at a certain time, and it does not occur, you may question it. I would too.. just waiting for our biometrics while others are getting approvals for EAD, etc. makes me wonder if there is an issue even though only next week is our 90 day mark.

Chill guys. :star:

Thanks I just wonder why others get things so fast and we are still waiting. A person here received thier noa2 in 4 days.

Yeah, I got my NOA1 on Jan19 which was on a friday, and when I checked the USCIS website, they said it was already approved on Jan26 which is the following Wednesday. That's only 3 business days. I already checked and double checked last night 3 or 4 times and again this morning because I didn't believe it. But I'm already registered now with that site for updates and it still says the same thing. I was shocked because they said they were still working on petitions from December.

I don't know why this happened so fast. I know I'm extremely fortunate that I live in an area that processes very quickly . While I'm very happy about this, my heart truly goes out to people that have to go thru CSC and must wait that long period of time in between notices. I hope things will get better for you guys soon...

Sincerely,

Rick

I don't think whether or not you used a lawyer speeds your process up, for some here using a lawyer slowed the process down because they screwed things up. I think some applications are chosen for a more extensive background check, name check or whatever, or its received by a person that processes much slower than others. Whatever the case I wouldn't worry now, I wouldn't worry until after it says its passed your NOA1 date by 30 days. Then you can complain :)

I originally hired a lawyer, but after doing some research on this site, I realized he was incompetent and promptly fired him. I think it's a combination of things like chicky said. Mostly getting good advice from people in here and a lot of luck....
