Hello friends. :star:

I am wondering how you find out where your cases are....

Did you receive an actual letter in mail regarding where your case is? Did you receive an e-mail? Does the case information online tells us where your case is?

My case still does not show up when I use the USCIS case search engine. I have biometrics appointment today, so I am hoping that I can access to my case information online soon.

Thanks a lot

Nao

if you receipt # starts with MSC, then your case is at MSC/NBC..

with CSC they will notify you if they trans your case to california..

did u register at the USCIS site for your case?

if not then register then add you case to your portfoilio..

goodluck! ;)

Biometrics today. The appointment time was 12 noon, but had to wait 1.5 hours until 1:30pm for the actual fingerprints and picture taking which took about five minutes. This was at the St. Paul, Minnesota location. So pretty poor time management at that location. A check of the USCIS site shows touches for the AOS and EAD today too, probably due to the biometrics processing.

You get 87 (such a weird number!) days to respond to an RFE. If you changed your address with the post office it should be fine - mail forwarding take a bit extra, but you should get it in plenty of time.

We got an RFE just after moving too, and ours had been sent to the old address, but we still had plenty of time to get everything together :)

Thanks so much for the info.

I lost you though on the office part..local office versus Application Support Center versus Field Office.

Are any the same?

It depends on the office. I see that your local office is SanFran. If you get an appointment at the Application Support Center instead of the Field Office, then yes Saturday is available and they're open Tues - Sat.

I read somewhere about MSC meaning Missouri Service Center but that it is really the NSC or National Service

Center. They said they still use MSC but it is not really in Missouri.

Also, do they do biometric appts on Saturdays or just M-F?

Some have biometrics on Oct 25th.....a Saturday.....??

Is that right?

https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=of...or.statecode=CA

My local ASC is also Tue - Sat.

I'm not sure of the hours and days of the field offices. The USCIS website doesn't the times for those.

BTW, I'm signed-up for e-mail updates, but I didn't receive any e-mail...

Do they only send you an e-mail when a touch triggers an status change? (i.e. RFEs? )

To be honest, I'm not really sure. I think maybe the offices only deal with applications and questions rather than biometrics. But I could be wrong.

In any case, when you get your appointment in the mail it will tell you where you are going.

Stupid question this might be....

I read most people saying their case has been touched, touched and touched..... how do i know if mine has been touched or not?

I know i was notified that my case was transfered to csc on the 7th, but it stayed that way till the very day i had my biometrics which was 15th.

I checked when we got back and found a new notification that.. the application is now pending at the service centre its been transferred to and il be notified of a decision by mail.

Are these timely notifications the same thing as being touched? I didnt want to assume hence my asking.

I check the USCIS site for my case status zillion times daily, plus i am almost stalking my mail man, though not that i expect it so soon but i'm hungry for news.

Also i registered for email updates at the uscis website but never got an alert from them neither can i login.

I have changed my password now on three occassions now but still cant login. Is this the way it is for everyone else or perculiar to me?

Any response to these questions would be appreciated.

Oh and i desperately want to go back home, i discovered that i can have the advanced parole expedited but dont know if it is wise to leave while aos is still pending?

A kind of update!

Just checked my case online and looks like my EAD was looked at. It says last updated 10/17/2008, but when I open it up, it says nothing different, same as previous update on October 6th, case received and pending, we mailed out the NOA.

Any idea what this might mean?
