Consulate Review: Egypt
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : February 11, 2008
Embassy Review : Ahmed had a great interview with a super nice consular officer in Cairo. She didn't ask to see any evidence so all the extra pictures, bank statements, divorce decree, phone records, etc, he left in his briefcase. She asked him how we met and when I visited. She asked if I had come for more than one visit. She asked what he planned to do once he got here. Was he going to school? She asked when he planned to come to the USA. She told him he should have his visa in 3 weeks and said it was only good for 3 months. I thought it was 6 months but he said she told him 3 months. If I remember anything else, then I will tell you.He said she was typing things into a computer as he answered. He had to wait a long time for the interview, too.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
