You go girl!!!

Mine is ready too. Just waiting for London to register it and I'll send it ahead of time. Ask for any cancellations if you live in the same city as the Embassy is and you can make it next day if necessary.

Yes, I live in Kiev where my US Embassy is situated.. It makes me very easy to be done with all papers and be ready for interview; )

woooo hooo I'm so glad it finally left NVC.

And so jalous of you people who can get interview dates so quickly. Im glad I requested a new package 3 on thursday , because mine never came, but I did file all the forms and made an imporvised checklist since that was the only form the Montreal consulate doesnt have online. On friday i faxed and mailed a copy of everything, just to be extra sure they will get it .. since i am still waiting here... Going to e-mail them on Wednesday and see if everything I sent was ok.

Hey guys, glad to see everyone's case is moving along :)

I received my paperwork from the embassy, Finally, I made my appointment for my medical exam, It is on Thursday YAY!!

The day after they sent my paperwork, i got another letter from the embassy, saying the medical exam has changed significantly, I now have to call my local healthboard to request ALL of my vacination records. Bit of a set back as our health system tend to take their time with things. anyway i thought this might be useful info for you guys.

Also one thing that is bothering me, they ask what i work at currently. Because of this recession i have no job , i have been working as a photographers assistant BUT its not really a full time thing, I am worried this will go against me, and also they are asking what i plan to work at if i do get my visa and go to the states, i had wanted to go back to school but hadnt really thought of what EXACTLY i was going to work at. any thoughts on it?

Sorry Birdie, didn’t notice your post earlier. When you book a medical in London they ask you to bring your vaccination records with you so it’s not a unique situation in Dublin. Not sure how other countries approach it. You might have it or might not. It is not really a big deal as you can always get jabs later on or during the medical itself. Of course, it's cheaper if you can get the records :). My understanding is that they let you in on K-1 without all required jabs but you need to get them before you apply for AOS.

Don't worry about your work situation. They couldn't care less about whether you, as a beneficiary, have a job or not. It's important that he has it and that he can prove he is able to support you. Don't stress over that job question. If you are not sure what you want to do when you get there just say so. Some people are specialised in their fields and are likely to want to continue to work in those fields. But even then it might prove difficult for most of us to get our first job in the same area of expertise, especially in this economy. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Hope you get your records soon. Good luck.

thanks KAT & Allie for the heads up!!! I am alot less stressed over the work question now hahaha. the whole affidavit of support is boggling both myself and james, from questions 8 onwards, it would seem that it doesnt 'HAVE' to be him that is my support when i am in the USA, HOWEVER it obviously has to be him??? i mean who else would it be? lol.

i would appreciate some help with this though, IF anyone can....

question 11.

''that i .....intend.....do not intend to make specific contributions to the support of the person(s) named in item 3.

(if you check ''intend'' indicate the exact nature and duration of the contributions. For example, if you intend to furnish room and board, state for how long and, if money, state the amount in United States Dollars and state whether it is to be given in a lump sum, weekly or monthly, or for how long)

And 1 more thing......in the very last section, the Oath or Affirmation of sponsor.... just near the end it says ''My commission expires on________''

Neither of us has a clue what that means at all.??!!! any help would be greatly appricated.

Ok so...obviously he is going to room and board, and it isn't going to be a weekly or monthly thing, it will just happen i guess, and it is going to be forever.....so should he just write that?? i mean it is a little confusing?? right??

I tried to call the embassy for help but of course, they dont answer, and they are closed till tuesday because of easter.

In other news, i had my Medical exam today. it went awesome, The Doctor was really helpful and filled me in on some things. which was cool, and gave me copies of anything he signed.

How are you all getting along with your process?? any interviews had yet??

1.I do not intend (that's the easiest)

2.they want u to notarized Affidavit of support (I heard the new one does not need to be notirized)

Hi all! Well, I finally got my packet 3 after 4 weeks of the London embassy ignoring our case from NVC! I sent the forms back right away as I had them ready for weeks! I had to email the London embassy this week to tell them I am moving (I know, crazy to move so close to emigrating!) and requested the earliest possible interview date or cancellation. I called DOS earlier and I have an interview scheduled fro April 23rd, so two weeks time! I'm nervous but excited now!

We have also booked out flights for June 26th as I found a good deal I just couldn't resist! Fingers crossed it all goes well!

HG, do you know why you are in AP?

Congratulations ''Wisedom come to'' and I wish you a very happy blessed new life together .

Congratulations'' Kirsten UK'' I hope you will get an interview date soon .

Well talking about Administrative process all people or 98% of them who had their interview in Cairo are under AP .

I had a very good interview and the CO was so nice to me but she said that she nneds to do some AP which is normal for Egypt . I asked her about how long it will take she said 2 weeks hopefully . it has been 2 weeks already and i didn't hear from the embassy yet .

I hope that i will hear good news soon .

• What is Administrative Processing? AP is also called Additional Administrative Processing and is when the applicant is being checked more closely. It can be for security checks which encompass fingerprints and/or name checks or for document verification.

• When does Administrative Processing Happen? AP can happen at any time during your processing. It can happen at a service center, at the NVC level, or at the embassy level. It mainly is discussed here in the forums at the embassy level.

• Who can get Administrative Processing and Why? AP usually affects men and women from certain countries but anyone can get AP. Persons coming from T countries (Terrorist Countries) seem to have more security checks and have to endure AP at the embassy level after their interview. Common names, your nationality, religion, education, relationship of applicant, travels and job can all be factors for AP. Having incomplete or missing documents will also cause a case to be put in AP. In some cases if the embassy does not believe in the validity of the relationship they can investigate it further with a field investigation.

Algeria, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Djibouti, Egypt,

Eritrea, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya,

Malaysia, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia,

Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates,

and Yemen. This list is complied from an attorney and the list of T-countries can change at any time.
