I used to get them all the time when I used hotmail. I used to love harassing them back- I kept sending them emails asking where my money was.

what's real fun is to use the previous one - copy and paste it as a reply to the one you just got

Spam emails lurk in my bulk folders. I don't think I have my filters completely set right but most of them do get caught there. There are mostly very obvious though, the old adage, "if it looks too good to be true then it probably is" works very well with pfishing scam identification.

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

I do get those on my yahoo mail address but never got any on my Gmail.

But there are 2 stories which I would like to share............because I love to talk a lot and I am bored the whole day, so bear with me.

First, when my dad was introduced to the lovely world of internet, he got one of those emails and he really thought he got rich :P it was so freaking funny. I kept telling him its a scam but he won't believe me, thought I don't know anything about the world and he sure has some lost rich uncle living in Nigeria :))

Anyways after a while when the scammer started asking about credit card account and all, he realised I was right!

Now the second story, its my husband, actually it happened through craigslist, he gave an add for repairing his computer, nothing much, just needed a full reinstallation which he has never done, even after me explaining him several time and giving him a step by step note on how to do it, he couldn't figure it out.

So basically he gave an add on craigslist and this guy showed interest but this guys plan was to take the whole computer, not just the CPU but the whole computer to his "workshop" and repairing it there and he will give it back in a weeks time. He would also take $75 in advance for the repairing which my husband needs to give him when he comes to take the computer, also he will make things easy for my husband and my husband doesn't have to come with him to his "workshop". Well his scheme sure didn't work out when I have my hawk eyes monitoring every move of the scammers :D

I get them all the time. I usually either:

1. Delete them

2. Respond with a "DO SOMEBODY ACTUALLY FALLS FOR THIS #######?"

3.- Engage them in further details.... still to be done this one, but I will report.

I got one last night and I e-mailed him back telling him he was full of bull.

I like the nigerian uncle email. I email back with the name, address, birthdate, etc of whatever they ask. But the info is of a girl I used to hate in high school. Maybe her nigerian uncle has made her very wealthy.
