You should be fine. Just tell him to come here faster. We are tired of him not getting here fast enough.

We are Good here. Going to LA tomorrow for a meeting with Mmche's Friend. Little of out this tense life.

Need help with SSN. No green card yet as we just went through the POE 6 days ago. The officer at POE told us to go to the SS office to apply for SSN after I asked if the SSN would be sent like the green card even though the box in the DS230 was checked. Went to the SS office today with my wife and CR-1 visa in the passport and was shot down in applying for SSN. The SS office said we need the green card with to apply for a SSN. What is the correct process for obtaining a SSN?

I went with just the visa in my passport and no problems. The visa itself clearly states that it serves as your temporary I-551 for one year upon endorsement (POE stamp), so it proves your status just as a green card would. There is absolutely no reason they shouldn't accept it as proof of status for a SSN.

I had every single document needed for NVC ready by the time our case made it to NVC. Right as we were approved at USCIS I had my husband mail me all of the documents that needed his signature. I-864 and DS-230 were ready to go and DS-3032 hard copy was ready as well.

Do not go by the automatic voice recorder at NVC, I noticed its one day behind. I would always confirm my case status with the operater at NVC. Also, follow LingChe guide,,,,big big big help. THANK YOU :) Now I just hope we get an interview soon.

do we have to go to SS office or does ss card comes in mail?

*Note she already had ss # from previous visits

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!
