Hey, hope everyone's fourth was nice.... mine same ol same ol. MQ definitely try the fax and see where it gets you. its worth a try. Melody, definitely let us know if they let him him in and wat happens. I on the other hand, am so baffled at what I should do next. i guess tomorrow try with DOS again, not that im expecting any changes since it was the 4th of July weekend. Guys, I'm really getting annoyed with this and I definitely know what u mean Melody about your husband questioning your sanity, mine is too lol. it's just that this weekend I really just got pised off at the embassy and AP. like im so sick and tired of not having someone give me straight up answers. Sorry not trying to whine bc i know we're all in this dumb boat but today i cant help but feel hopeless..... :(

Hey VJer's ok so I hope everyone's day is going dandy. Just wanna update everyone with my case...unfortunately it isnt really much of an update but hey something is better than nothing i suppose. today i called DOS twice, yes twice. the 1st lady was rude as hell and couldnt wait toget off the phone. I asked her about the case and she told that it was updated today I guess the embassy received the email from my senator and unfortunately told them the same thing they told me, which pretty much is his case is still under AP and we will be contacted when it is done. Sucks doesnt it? I than asked that lady well is it at the consular level or washington, shes like it never leaves the embassy its always there and doesnt get sent to washington unless its being revoked and thats not my case's situation. im confused bc like i have been assuming its in washington, and now that she told me it wasnt than what the hell is the embassy doing still. i dont get it. well, out of curiosity im like hey i wonder what someone else might tell me so i called again,. i got the lady with an accent, i'll admit she wasnt helpful but at least she was nicer. she was saying that they see nothing now bc of new policies the only thing she told me me was that the embassy received an email on july 3 and on july 6 was touched. i mean its great to see that its been touched but I mean i want real answers.... anyone that can give me their insight on this I would totally appreciate it......

Okay. So, I called the DoS and I am not sure if I received good news or what news. The lady said, it looks like things are going good, and half of your checks are done and we are waiting on other ones. I said, so is this good news? She said, well no, cause it could promot more checks. I asked, "has there been some work that has been completed?" She said, "yes." It was an Asian lady with the accent. I thought it was Sue at first and got so excited. So, something has happened but I don't know what. URGH!!!!

wELL.... I definitely think you finally cracked the code of the asian lady, shes pretty good at playing dumb and saying nope we dont see anything so im hoping this is good news for you. my fingers are crossed. i mean its way better hearing your checks are almost done than hearing "pending". im super hopeful for you, we need good news. it seems like no one is hearing anything good lately.

I just filed an FIOA with DOS.... has anyone else done this??...

**STATUS CHECK OF CASES IN ADMINISTRATIVE REVIEW: Status Checks of cases in administrative review should first be addressed to the Consulate in question. Click Here for List of Consulates. The State Department's Office of Visa Services can also assist in status checking of cases which are unusually delayed. Tel: 202-663-1225 (Punch 1, Then 0, Avg. Wait Time Approx. 15 minutes to Speak with a Live "Visa Specialist", ET 8:30 AM to 5:00PM). E-Mail: usvisa@state.gov Click Here for More Information. For people who want to be active during the painful waiting period, especially if it becomes protracted, here are two suggestions: 1. Request in Writing Information from Immigration Service and the State Department under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) regarding the reason for the Administrative Delay. See: USCIS Freedom of Information Act Request. and State Department Freedom of Information Request. 2. Order the Visa Applicant's FBI record directly from the FBI and have it ready in case the Embassy requests same. See: FBI Criminal History Record.

President Barack Obama's Executive Order 13489,[17] which encourages openness, transparency and accountability in government records. .[18]

If President Obama is wanting to encourage this it seems to me that something could be done to atleast get us some freaking ANSWERS.. I know that I cant "speed" it up but I would like to know what the eff is going on... I think I am gong to email him... :D wish me luck

Woooooowwwwwwwwww, go Melody. That's great that you know so many people that may be able to help this cause. Especially since our congressmen and senators dont seem to care. I truly hope you hear back from someone, we need good news. I'm especially curious about the FOIA. It's the first time I ever heard of that like truthfully if that works it would be great bc just like you we have all run out of solutions. Being in AP is like hitting a dead end with no escape. As much as people say oh just focus on the end of the tunnel, its way too hard with this process. Anywayz, you are totally in my thoughts I really hope you hear back. Oh, quick question, just like MQ asked how do u file that FOIA?

Muslimqueen, please take what I have done and said with a grain of salt... My drunken stupor last night has only provided me this morning with a little more than hangover. There was a link in that post that walked you through filing an FOIA...

neverther less this is the link http://foia.state.gov/foiareq/foialetter.asp

Goodluck... I assume that if it gives you a peace of mind then it isnt all bad or worthless...

ps. I have only been in AP for 6 weeks.. (AP and crazy dont mix...via the reason of my previous posts)
