A remarkable feat. I watched him being interviewed last night along with Mark Spitz who congratulated him on tying his record of 7 gold medals. One stark difference that I noticed between the two - Mark Spitz is much more articulate.

I did see the medal ceremony and I felt bad for the other members of the relay.. the camera seemed to be focused on Phelps the whole time and I was thinking hey, he didn't win that relay by himself

Someone told me he's double jointed in his ankles, elbows etc. One of the reasons he's a cut above the rest.

Michael Phelps and also Dara Torres are actually part of a program where they get dope tested after each event...I was reading about it yesterday. It is part of a program that many athletes are participating in to eliminate the stigma that they might be doing something shady.

Not at all jealous. Success at sports is about the lowest item on my list of things to do.

Just pisses me off that cycling has been bearing the brunt of the doping allegations, scandals, and speculation while other sports are riddled with doping as well, but it's never mentioned.
