I checked out Brazil's group and it doesn't look too friendly. Neither Australia nor Croatia are known for being friendly teams, and while Brazil has a great team, they don't really handle body checking too well.

My bet of the day: Czech Republic. An underdog, but with a great team. Probably one of the best in Europe.

Btw, Germany played Japan 2:2 the other day; the German team was a nightmare until about 70 minutes into the game. But then, they seemed to remember what their purpose was and they played ok for the remainder of the game. Luckily group A is full of bad teams...

If Brazil doesn't win I hope you all don't have too hard a time wiping that egg off your faces. LOL

even if a miracle happens and Brazil doesn't win still will be the team that played better

new zealand...............

We are talking about soccer/football not sheep herding, then they might have a shot. LOL

:lol::lol::lol::lol: i was waiting for a shot and that was a great one

I hate say it but after watching the USA friendly matches last week they better sign up for the rodeo too. How in the hell can they be rated #5 in the world.

http://www.fifa.com/en/mens/statistics/ind...ay-2006,00.html

FYI New Zealand is #118

Yeah, my US citizen husband reminds me of this a lot...USA higher in ranks than England??? I think because they begin by playing all the ####### teams (how would they lose?) whereas England plays the bigger teams...there is no way they are strong enough to win it, but a few teams lower in the ranks have a chance.

I would prefer England to win because I know what it means to us (I am in UK now on vacation and everyone is going crazy for it with St George flags hanging out the car windows), but America wouldn't bother to watch it and then think that they are great for winning it!!!!!

Haha. Come on Rooney - better sort out that foot if we're gonna be in with a chance!

I think Brazil is from another planet when it comes to playing soccer at the moment... :help: they are simply unbelievable! So I think they most likely will win the world cup...then again, when someone is praised as the big favorite all the time strange things can happen...

On my part, being Italian I will route for the AZZURRI of course!

well until USA have to say their goodbyes I will be supporting them cos my bloke always sits with me in crowded English pubs and cheers on Wales in the Rugby with me, so I have to do my bit for him  Then we will both be rooting for ENGLAND

although he is somewhat gutted at USA having to play Italy.......awwwwwwwww
