So just got back from visiting my Finace in usa for 2 months!! had no problem with POE which i was so worried about!!

Now that i am back i really want to speed up this whole process!! its good to see that so many Aug filers have got NOA2, maybe we all can get them soon ?? we thought about just getting married while i was in USA but i thought that because we had a K1 in process it would of been frowned upon!! am i right in thinking this? ( i had no intention of doing it when i went through POE just the final day i was there we considered it!! )

well good luck to all and stay strong

Colin & Jess

Sup everyone! I am at the Taiwan airport making my way back to the US with half a heart, the worst thing about it is that my laptop is dead! I am here for the next 7 hours! HAHAHAHAHA! Oh wellz, sad and missing Emilia and the kids, wooooh! now that's hard.

We got tons done while i was there, passport for the kids, cenomar blah blah blah.............

Emilia also received her letter for interview already while i was there, couldnt schedule yet since I dun have my letter from my boss yet, I should have that when i get back to work Monday.

Although sad in the back of my mind we will soon be together, so close and it's happening sooner than expected.

Take Care everyone!

Soo happy you had a great time, just remember to be there for her for the next week, thats the hardest point when you have to go seperate ways again.

But as you said she should be all done by March and you really will be a family, Grats Fred, its nice to know that sometimes those romatic fairy tales really do play out in real life.

HD - Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. Bill also does that. When we're about to say goodbye again, I start to panic. He tells me that everything is going to be OK and that we're in the last 5-6 months now, but that's forever away right now!

Then I meet my friends and they ask when we're next going to see each other (I don't know!), when I'm moving (I don't know!) and when I'm getting married (I don't know!); the worst times are when they try to make me feel better by saying "oh that's not that far away..." - BULLS$IT! Then how come you all split up with your boyfriends back home because of distance??

I was in the kitchen with my housemate a while back and was all excited about seeing Bill again (in December). I told her that I haven't seen him in 10 weeks and she said "oh, that's not too long."

DANI - Yes, that's exactly what I've heard too about rushing into marriage when I haven't even finished "the college years" yet. People don't understand that there isn't a choice. There is no visa to be together as boyfriend and girlfriend or an extended fiance visa.. it's just married or not together. I know it's hard but try to look past it. I find it helps to tell myself that they simply don't understand because they've never felt as strongly about their future with a person before, to give everything up for them. We're lucky to have found someone to wait for us - most people wouldn't wait for paperwork and everything else, from what I've gathered.

MARA - YES!! It is so frustrating, isn't it? Does it also annoy you when people make comments about "becoming a yankie" or "turning into an American"? I love my British nationality and it's hard enough leaving my country for another without everyone making jokes about betraying the country (what is that about??).

My brother even told me "whenever you say 'VISA', it makes you sound like one of those Asians trying to get into the country. UGH you're going to be an IMMIGRANT. Illegal IMMIGRANT! You're going to take all of their jobs!!" and laughs! I know he's only joking, but after all of the waiting and trying to prove we're *not* going to be illegal or taking money from the government, it angers me when people make ignorant comments.

I also know what you mean about the NOA2 wait. Loads of things went through my head too; will we be put in AP, will our case get lost, will we end up in the 6+ months thread... it's only natural to wonder about the bad things. But you know that *most* people here get approved between 4-6 months, and even after that. You know that your case hasn't been lost so far. And you know that sometime within the next few months, or weeks, or even days, you're going to look back at the worry and breathe a sigh of relief, just like I did. :)

MARM - I bet it's your approval!! Watch..

COLIN - Glad you had a good time. Just to let you know, there is no rule that says you're not allowed to get married over there, even when there is a K1 being processed. You could have gotten married if you wanted to, but then would've had to apply for a spousal visa, which would've been silly considering how far you've come with this one. Or did you mean just filing for AOS? Because I've considered it before too, but I'm still holding onto this K1 and trying to do 100% the right way.

FRED - Your family will be here within a matter of weeks! Get everything prepared for them! :)

Congratz jazz acid, you are the first to finish of the august filers that I am aware of, here is your prize... :star:

I wouldn't say that you are finished after passing the interview (or receiving the actual visa)... that's a huge deal of course and can finally be reunited... I'd say filing AOS after marriage... once that is complete... I'd call that the finish line more, but at least that step is done with your spouse (yeah, won't be saying fiance(e) anymore except when you slip up!)...

Welcome back fred, I've attempted to incite riots against you... I might not have tried hrd enough though hehe, no one seems angry at you so my plan failed.
