Our petition was FINALLY sent today.

It's been sitting on my fiancee's desk since JUNE... because his boss is shitty and hasn't paid him for months (we're working on taking this further with him). Luckily, a family member let him borrow some money to send the packet.

So we'll hopefully be getting notification of it arriving tomorrow evening and then we wait for our NOA1.

Any news from the August Vermont filers? It has been a week since my package was delivered and I'm still waiting for my check to be cashed. Curious if anyone has seen any progress.

It's only been a week... VSC is still working on cashing/sending out NOA1 for July filers!

Expect it sometime around the end of August / beginning of September.

Yes...it is very disappointing considering how things are moving in Cali. But, it is what it is and we'll all huddle together here and keep each other encouraged and share in the highs and lows of the process. Not much we can do to change the situation, just deal with it togeher and celebrate the good news as it comes.

i know everyone must feel the way i do being away from Rob, but it's horrible, really like an addiction, a craving to have a hug from him (and no mums hugs don't quite cut it), i just get so frustrated sometimes i want to scream

i guess it's because i know i won't be able to get back to see Rob until we get the visa

sorry guys, just being grumpy and missing him heaps

I know exactly what you mean. It's hard on all of us to be separated like this. I think one thing that I think about at times to give myself perspective is how it must feel to be the spouse of someone in the military. They go away for months and years at a time and may never come home again at all. This is a bit like that except we do know at some point we'll be with our fiance. It sucks...period..but I just find ways to keep myself busy and hope and pray that it all goes much quicker.

If you need to vent, scream, shout..come on over and do it here and know that you are not alone and any emotion you go through, heck I feel it too....many do.

I agree, the separation is the hardest thing to cope with.

I feel as though I am missing a part of my soul.

I surround myself with friends but still feel lonely.

I miss our embraces....that intimacy....

Hun, don't feel that you can't be grumpy on this forum! Whenever I feel miserable about the situation, I don't go to my family or friends because I feel they don't understand the situation as well as VJ does... I always feel a little better after visiting here because I see people going through the same thing, and even holding onto each other and waiting together. That is really inspirational to me.

I'm incredibly lucky as I'm planning to visit him next month... but I hate the depression upon getting back. I tell myself that this time next year, the K1 process will be over. I will be in the US with Bill and we'll be planning the next step TOGETHER!

My check has cleared finally. Posted after 8 days, so that seems to be a bit of an improvement. I can't seem to read the back of the check clearly so I guess I will wait for NOA1 in the mail. I hope the rest of you will be getting similar notices soon. Just feels a sense of relief to know the process is moving forward one small step at a time.

I called my bank and was able to get my case number and registered on the USCIS website to track my case.
