OK so me and my fiance have been together for soon to be 4 years but since I was very young when we first met I wasn't able to see him often I had to wait till my parents decided that they wanted to go on vacation so I can tag along... so unfortuantly in the last 2 years I only saw him once and though we had spend every day during the month and a half I was there together and with a digital camara at hand (and had more then 100 pics to show for it) all those pictures got deleted like 3 days before I returned. :( so I only have 3 pictures from that entire stay and it is all I have? Of course I have the flight info so they would have proof that I was there during the said time period. I am also going to be visiting him in December so we will DEFENITLY take pics then ( and make sure they aren't deleted). I don't think that he will be having an interview before then (though I would be super excited if he did) am I going to be ok with the small amount of pictures I have?

Also I have some from longer ago should I give a few of those too to show an on going relationship?

Yes definitely. I was told that showing the development of the relationship over time is a big deal. So several pictures from different visits may be better than a bunch from just one. Good Luck!! :)

Yes, photos of you together are very important. Sorry to hear that you lost those pictures...just make sure to take a lot of them again on your second visit & make back-ups. I think submitting photos taken a while back with your fiance will be added an proof that you have known each other for a long time & there is indeed an on going relationship. Goodluck!

Hey.....

Pictures are secondary evidence. To get you petition approved, you only have to prove you met each other. You do that with passport stamps, airplane tickets, etc... I wouldn't worry TOO much about that. There are other ways to prove an ongoing relationship (phone bills, letters (post marked of course), etc...

I think for our entire application we only sent 3 pictures in....

Our first meeting was very brief and we forgot all about taking pictures. So the pictures we submitted with our I-129F came from only one trip (maybe five pictures total). I did include all of the other evidence like boarding passes, letters, phone bills, etc though. And I had a nice Christmas card from his mom saying how happy she was for us. I think that helped - showing that family members knew about us and supported us.

You just have to prove the physical meeting face to face. At the interview you'll be able to prove the ongoing relationship part with photos from your other visit.

Maybe even make a note in there that says "also planning another visit such and such a date and include the itinerary if you have it"

Don't worry about it. By your timeline it looks like you haven't even filed your I-129F yet. There is no requirement of proof of relationship for the I-129F, only proof of having met once in the last 2 years. Proof of an ongoing relationship is only needed at the interview. I only sent one picture with my I-129F and we had no problems. Heck, my lawyer thought the photo might have some sentimental value to me so he just made a copy on the office copier and sent the original photo back to me. My fiancee brought photographs of the two of us together at her interview, but they never even asked to look at them.

When we filed our petition we submitted NO PICTURES. No RFE, no probelms  As long as you have proof of meeting some time within the last 2 years that is all you need (passport stamps, boarding passes, etc). Pictures are considered secondary evidence and are not really looked at during this stage.

Between submitting the petition and the interview I went to visit once. We took pictures then. We submitted 17 pictures at the interview and the CO was satisfied with them. Remember, pictures are only one part of proving your relationship. There is other proof you can add for proof of your relationship.

Good luck :)
