I'm really sorry that Vermont is so slow, but I'm February at California and haven't had a touch. So, quite a few of us still wait at California too. This process is long, slow, and painful for all of us. For some of us, it is tortuous!!!!

Calling them is no use the same lame excuses. They did tell me that if they are too busy they share their work load with another service center. Apparently VSC didnt get that memo, as they have so many December and even few October filers waiting for NOA2. But at the same time they are approving some K-3's from April/March. Gotto love FiFo!

Edited by Ilya R.

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

Yes reehon, I see 10 CSC approval compare to 1 VSC approval, no offense to CSC filers, but VSC is slacking off. I wonder why are they holding up applications for CR1, not enough resources? According to Deilcia spreadsheet I still see several people from September and October who have not received their NOA2 yet. There are also couple people who received their NOA2 who filed back in March. I do not understand their process…

I filed our I-130 Dec. 11, 2007 and am still waiting. Filed 2 expedites. One was denied due to my not being the "affected party"...even though I am the petitioner AND they had my first and last name completely wrong.

The second "expedite" I filed was only listed as an "other" request. They didn't even list it as an expedite because they said I couldn't file a second expedite within 30 days of the first one. But the first one was denied without the file being opened to see that they had my name COMPLETELY wrong and THAT was how the MAIN expedite got denied in the FIRST PLACE!! ARRRRRG!

This is designed to make us all give up. I will not go away on this. Trust.

That is what the USCIS website says, but there have been people on this board that filed in March 2008 that are getting approved thru CSC. I think that is what the OP was trying to reference.

Hmmm going back in processing dates?? VSC seems to be developing a sense of humor, someone else wrote on VJ how they said that they will all go on vacation at the same time and close the shop altogether for a while  . I think those officers are frustrated as well, may be overwhelmed with the volume of work, and helpless in deciding which petitions/applications to process first. They seem to be processing I-130/129F petitions with NOA1 dates from early January '08 right now and the expedites of course, at least that's what I've seen in the last 10 approvals or so from VSC that were posted here. Don't give up the hope, I'm still waiting too. Keep your cool B) . We'll find out soon, their new processing dates are due in a few days. It sure looks like VSC has a single person working on family based petitions, and the poor guy calls in sick quite often too

This sucks more than anything else has ever sucked before.

An October 2007 I-130, I-129F filer.

Should've played the Green Card Lottery instead - it's less random and more reliable.
