Yeah I saw that...it's pretty cool. I remember when I first joined, I had never even seen a message board, let alone participate in one...so I was absolutely CLUELESS!!!

You know at the start before you log in it shows about 4 different people's posts? Well, I thought you just kept adding to those with your own questions. I would hop in and ask a question with no clue as to what the OP's topic was about...was there anyone else out there as bad as that?

I wasn't that bad because I started reading VJ back in 2003 but only joined this year, so I knew how it worked. Also, I'm also a music forum member (don't post as much there) so it wasn't that hard to me.....

Does anyone think there might be a better way to display the reminder? My goal is to just remind people that before they go posting a question they should at least try (some) to have looked at the Guides, FAQ's and maybe even have done a search for the same question having been asked before. This was by no means a requirement (I am sure this is more a reminder to 'new' users than anything) but something that will reduce some of the redundant posts. Anyone have suggestions on better ways to get this idea 'out there'?

I think it's a great way to remind people they can find the answers to some of their questions reading the guides! We'll probably see less threads about the same topic!

BTW, the way it's worded right now is even better. But.... maybe you could find a place to add the somewhere....
