Snipes is already making a lot of dough, and I mean a lot! Why don't he want to pay taxes? The lower class is losing a lot of dough, and I mean a lot! Why do they have to pay taxes?

These rich people are selfish.

I wonder what the reaction would be if it were Chuck Norris.

Wouldn't have sympathy for him either...

Edit: Ah, ok....I just read that he is a tax protester...believes that taxes are illegal. Interesting.

good for him. he shouldn't eat in jail then since that's taxpayers money

:P Good point, although if he has any money left and people on the outside, I'll be he'll be having a lot of his food brought in from the outside.

Sorry - I was joking. That tired old "I bet the reaction would be different if it were X instead of Y" cliche.

Federal prisoners cannot receive food items from outside the institution.

Too bad he's not in a Jamaican prison. He could get all kinds of perks, including food brought from the outside daily.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

State prisons usually allow certain foods to be sent/brought in..... but not Federal.

Snipes is an idealistic fool who should have taken notes from the Red Foxx case. Don't try to cheat the system because the IRS will come for you. I always say, "In order to play the game, get the handbook!" Next time, shelter your taxable income legitimately to avoid the embarrassing headache of court (and in his case jail time). What a shame...

the 3 states systems i worked in..illinois, missouri and kansas did not allow it to be sent to the prison...but, if at a lower security level..food could be brought in on visitors day..after inspection ...we are talking work camops etc..the danger with food is drugs laced..

True, each facility and State is different. Drugs are a problem, and also the ability to make alcohol from certain items. All foods must be in their original, sealed, packaging in order to clear processing.
