When I was over there for the first gulf war they told us the proper name was the Arabian Gulf. Not the Persian Gulf.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senator Barack Obama
Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

He is a chopfuck, but as the article points out, the body of water has been called the Persian Gulf for the longest time. Calling it anything else is politically motivated...

Also inherent in this discussion is a longstanding dislike between those of Persians/Iranians and Arabs. Ever tried calling someone from Iran/Afghanistan/Pakistan an Arab?? They don't enjoy that at all because they are not ethnically related.

total agreement on that..and muslims all over the world don't appreicate their Arab brothers and sisters being identified as THE MUSLIMS..as they are just a % of the total muslim population

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Absolutely. A lot of folks don't seem to understand ethnic differences.

all I know is he is heading for an ### whipping soon

Not by the US though. They're already massively committed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Bush won't get the money or the troops for another unilateral middle-east 'adventure'.

That's why the US is working with the UN on this one. They don't have much of a choice.

Yeah, Ahmedinijad can do and say pretty much what he pleases. The only nation that will be willing (and has the interest) to eliminate him is Israel.

if that should ever happen, then HELL will break out & all ARAB nations in conflict with Iran will support it, even IRAQ

But what can Israel do? That nutjob already stated he wants to wipe them off of the map. If he gets a bomb he will use it. Should they just sit back and wait for the big one?

I see only a few choices. Do nothing and let Israel get one in the teeth,

Let Israel take them out and step in and help defend them,

Take them out first.

None of them are good choices. It is certain that diplomacy or sanctions won't work. I see WW3 here with not to many ways out of it.
