I would think so, but he has to return to the UK to wait for interview and the like.

Yea... we kinda figured that part. I'm paranoid that the "visa police" are going to show up at my door and scold us or something =/

Thanks =)

Yes you can. There is a spot on the form that asks you if you fiancee is with you when filing. Can't remember which form it is offhand.

Hey.. You can definitely apply during the visit. My fiance was in the US when we filed. It's convenient so that you can get the paperwork and evidence together. Some good evidence would be a photocopy of the I-94 that will be stapled in his passport. Be sure not to give the original or that could pose a problem :bonk:

My fiance entered the country after we filed a separate time as well. There are no travel restrictions while the VISA is in process...just the paranoia that the POE won't let you in. Best of luck!

My fiance is visiting next Friday for three weeks. I haven't mailed the visa application yet.

Is it okay to mail them while he's here?

:yes:

It makes sense to apply when you're together anyway so you can make sure everything is ready and has been signed.

We sent off the I-129F soon after a visit I had to Brazil.

Good luck.

I was in the U.S. when we filed. Just make sure to write the I-94 number on the I-129F.

You can file an I-129F fiance visa petition while he's visiting but that's not a visa application. He'll file the visa application with the Consulate much later in the process.

The correct terminology will serve you well many times during the process, so it's best to start paying attention to these things now.
