My fiancé received packet 3 and no medical instructions and I e-mail the lady from the consular in Montevideo – Uruguay on Monday. Still no response ….

...

Love

Sandra

Hi Sandra. Do you have the telephone number of the doc who needs to do the medical? Maybe she/he'll have some official forms available that can be used ... But this is just me guessing of course.

Good luck! :star:

I did, yes, I just neglected to stick it on my sig timeline.

If I didn't have to make copies of it and keep it handy, I'd frame it.

Ok cool, was just curious. I hope mine comes soon as I need to include a copy of it with all the docs I am sending to Olenka for the interview....

OK, I have another question for the experts here ;) ... Do you think it's worth to have a titer test done in order to avoid getting unnecessary shots? I had varicella, rubella and measles as a child (not mumps though), and was also vaccinated against polio and dyphtheria. I have no vaccination or other medical records for my childhood, so I suppose that's the best way to deal with the issue. Anyone had the same experience?

S&D you can try the RFE option to get a real human being. My guess is they're going to tell you the same as the automated line but it's worth a shot. Do let us know.

Raff, if it's covered by your insurance there then i'd say yes. If not, it may just be easier to have them do it at the medical. Chances are most from developed Countries are good to go with their shots... most just need tetnus. good luck!

Id say compare the cost of the test to the cost of the vaccinations..and the pain of several jabs versus one! If you have NO record is probably a good thing to do!

I may have the titer test too, as I also had chickenpox/mumps etc as a kid so dont think I need new vaccines and im not sure I had everything as a kid.....Im going to book a visit with my local doc when i get back from hols and get him to go over my vac records from childhood+the embassy sheet of whats required and make my plans from there......soo much to do...I just hope it doesnt require me taking more days off work as my boss will get suspicious if I ask for leave after a holiday!!

Mailed off packet 3 today, pray for me ya'll that my UK/AUS police clearances come through before the visa interview!!! *fingers crossed*

6 days till I see my babe again....Ive been contemplating what to do when I first see him...kiss...hug...kiss hug at once...or the movie style run and jump into his arms ( I feel I need to practice for that one though lol!)

Missing someone gets easier everyday because even though you are one day further from the last time you saw them, you are one day closer to the next time you will.

Talking about vaccines, I´m worrying about the papiloma virus one... The embassy doesn´t require it, but I´ll need it for the adjustment os status, and I´ve read so many bad things about it... Some people say it´s more likely that you die from something caused by the vaccine than from actual cancer caused by HPV. Anybody have a clue?

Hi everybody, i hope u are all doing ok.

So we get our noa 2 on monday and thats is great, very happy.

now my SO is worried because we have only seen each other one time.

we have known each other for 1 year.yes it`s alittle fast but we really love each other and want to marry,

from usa to thailand is far and expensive , and hard to do when i have to work 6 days a week.

is there anybody in my position ? is 1 time going to be ok for the interview?

i want to be there for the interview so it is kind of 2 times.

we have alot of proof, and an engagment ring.

And 1 more question,

why do people post" i make 71,000 a year ,should i get a sponcer"

if the minimum povery level is 14,000 times 125%, isin`t the result 17,500 ?

now is it gross or adjusted gross they want, never could find that!

Any how thanks alot guys !

And kim i do pray for u !

it`s coming, they all do !

Yes I am in a similar position. I think it will be fine. I am not sure about how Thailand is but in Kiev, as long as you have all documents, supporting proof, etc. then it's not a problem.

Kim, any clue why your approval is taking so long??

It's gross income and yes you are correct about the numbers. I have no idea why people who make way above ask... I guess everybody is concerned about it. Each Consulate is very different in what they expect to see and what they will pass on so your best course of action is going to be checking with those folks.

The higher fraud posts will scrutinize 'newer' relationships more than others. They're not supposed to re-adjuticate the petitions..but that's basically what they do. If you can be at the interview at a Consulate like Thailand..especially after only having been together once.. I would surely go! Even if you can't go into the interview 'room'... be sure your fiance carries your passport in to make sure the officer knows you're there. There is an entire thread dedicated to Thailand in the General K1 forum. Check with those folks.

Thanks for the well wishes. It sure is getting to be a bit much.

No clue why it's taking so long. There's still a small group of us April folks waiting and even a couple late March so who knows. Slow adjuticator??? Figures. I find it quite ironic... 10 year relationship... 3 years just to file... all the time we've had together.. and we're left waiting. Oh well.

why do people post" i make 71,000 a year ,should i get a sponcer"

I think they haven't read any of the guides, FAQs, VJ Wiki, Embassy Info, or government websites. Lots of people are just randomly skipping through the forums picking up bits and pieces of conversations. So they see people talking about income and ask if theirs is enough. It's possible they don't even know there is a formula to go by.

Kim, any clue why your approval is taking so long??

Well her petition reads like an exciting romance thriller and the adjudicator took it home and it's on his bedside table. He can't bear to part with it yet.

Hi April. VSC stats are a little boring today. How can we wake them up.??? :bonk: Hey VSC...get with it!
